Are the drugs helping at all?

Think DH is getting something, it is helping us as a couple if not individually.

Not really, although saying that, if I wasn't taking them right now I'd be up all night and/or crying by now. :o

I realised about 5 minutes ago that I'd not taken my normal night meds either  the dogs managed another bedroom break in while I was at the hairdressers, somehow managing to topple my bedside unit, so it took me a few minutes to find the tablets again...I'm not impressed with them, but I can understand that they're bored and need exercise. They've gone from doing 5km runs with dh 2-3 times a week to nothing, since mil's stroke. I pointed this out to dh this eve, so he ended up doing his first run for weeks, with them, down to mil's where I met him with some grub. When we got back he climbed straight in bed and was asleep before I even got up the stairs :p

Good as a couple, btw, is sometimes better than good individually. Sometimes if it's just individual help it creates a bigger void between the couple, cos they're not at the same place/stage etc. Do you get offered a set number of sessions?

Hi guys... Thanks again for all the best wishes.. Hasn't quite gone according to plan.. I've started bleeding this eve.. Was about 2 wipes of red blood.. Looked watery..that was about 7pm.. I went again about 8pm and it was same but there were some tiny bits in one wipe.. Like minute clots about 1mm, then a couple of browny watery wipes.
I've not had anything since... I'm on night shift and checking every hour lol!!
I've rung docs on Monday to inform I was pg.. They just do a booking in appt with midwife which is at end of Dec.
Do you think I should ring them in morning or will I be too early on for them to do anything anyway?
My Lmp was 5/11/11 and I reckon I ov'd on 25th.. Could it still be implantation bleeding?

It's ongoing so we get to carry on as long as we need and can always start again if we get pg again so that she can council us throughout the next pregnancy.

Poor dogs they must be going mad... what a shock to the system for them and your DH (he'll sleep well tonight :D) 2.gif

I suppose it's good that your not up and in pain but still not sleeping isn't good.:(

Jen, can't offer any suggestions as I don't know. All I can offer is hugs and support. I did bleed in the first trimester with mine and things were fine. I would call the doctors in the morning and they should refer you for a scan.

Hopefully someone will be able to offer more information.

Jen: you'd be around 6 weeks I'd guess, so I'd say ring either the docs, the midwife, or the Early Pregnancy Unit (usually part of the maternity unit) -they would probably do a scan to see what's happening with the baby. Sorry you're going through this :( let us know how you get on

I'm still up and in pain, just a slightly duller version. Because it's nerve pain (feels like toothache all over, and/or like I've smacked my funny bones, and that I've got funny bones at every joint iyswim?) There's a limited amount the painkillers can do. I think if I've known this time last year I'd be waiting this long, I wouldn't have come off my normal meds (which help manage it better) before that winter...winter sucks for health issues

I'm starting to feel sick now, either lack of sleep or nothing to eat with the tablets I just took, or both...might have to venture downstairs for some ginger biscuits...

Eta: as for the dogs, it's times like this I feel really really guilty that I can't just take them round the block to help burn off some of their energy/nervous excitement :o

What happened with the job situation? Any other offers?

No other offers, but I haven't applied for any.:o

If you hadn't come of the meds then you would spend time thinking that things could have happened sooner. Are your usual meds not compatible with pregnancy. Is it something that you can go on and drop once you get the BFP?

Nope, not compatible with pregnancy, or breastfeeding (i suspect the length if time I can cope with breastfeeding, if I manage it at all, will be determined by how much I struggle without the meds/time of year etc). It took 3 months to wean off them last year, so not something I can take til I get my bfp either. Ideally I wouldn't be taking the levels of pain killers I am atm at all, but needs must sometimes, and a fraught body/mind in agony doesn't benefit a beanie either :o I try not to take anything but paracetamol between cd10 ish and af. As it is I'm desperately trying to avoid the morphine tablets I have in the cupboard and have managed not to crack so far this year, but if this winter's a harsh one I don't much fancy my chances :o

It probably wouldn't touch the pain but I got prescribed pain killers which are stronger than paracetamol and safe with pregnancy. think they had codeine in but can't remember. (I'll probably stumble across them at some point)
