  • Nicki, sorry to hear what happened to your DH. Scumbags like that make me so angry!

QQ, I hope your appointment goes well.

Gemma, huge congrats on your BFP! (non-alcoholic of course!)

    Secretdebts, hugs for CD1

Gizmodo, I have asked for scrapbooking things for Christmas and this will be first time at it. I have lots of ideas but not sure which to start on. Ideas include pregnancy scrapbook, scrapbook on various family members to pass on to any DC we have. May call on you for advice once I get going!

Well, 10DPO here and SS'ing like crazy despite trying not to! Every little twinge in my stomache I start to think could be a sign then I try to tell myself not to be silly as I probably have these all the time but just didn't notice them as wasn't TTC. Was planning on testing on 17th but not sure I can hold off quite that long! Maybe this Sunday...

Oh yes I forgot to say how nice it is to see other crafters here! I'm a scrapbooker/card maker too :)

Also nice to know that I'm not the only one with crummy skin! :o

I love that FF calendar Secretdebts. Wouldn't it make life so much simpler if we really could conceive after BDing any time in such a wide period!

OK, so I am just back after taking OH to hospital this morning. He is quite badly bruised on his face, and was having some blurred vision this morning in one eye, so we thought it best to have it checked out. Hospital don't think there is any serious damage thankfully, we just have to follow the usual head injury guidelines and be alert. Being the workaholic he is, he has now headed off to work, but will take it easy today and come home early I think. And in the meantime has left me briefed to call out some home security firms and beef up our security. His confidence has had quite a big knock :( We are also trying to decide what to do about next week. He was due to be away all week, but I don't fancy being in the house alone with the kids at the moment overnight, and he doesn't much want to leave us either, so we need to work out a solution.

All this has rather thrown TTC for a loop. Not sure how things stand to be honest. I had a positive OPK and EWCM on Sunday afternoon and we BD'd that morning and evening. Yesterday I had a peak on my CBFM but CM was thick and creamy (positively lumpy in fact if that isn't far TMI) and obviously given how much pain he was in, BDing was the last thing on DH's mind. Temp was up this morning but not necessarily over the coverline as my early temps this month have been really erratic with some very high ones. Today is my second Peak day, but not sure if we are now too late, and even if we are not whether DH will be up to anything this evening. So after a promising start, we may be out this month after all :(

Has anyone else had odd reactions to coming off the pill? I used to have lovely skin but now it's awful, got scabby little dry patches under my left eye and on my forehead, and oily patches on my chin... it's not nice! I want my nice skin back! :o
It the hormones, hope it settles soon:o

Good idea, do you mean something like a security alarm?

Problem is there wasn't one on Monday as DH was away overnight Sunday/Monday and attacked as he returned home on Monday night. I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts about whether I was likely to have ovulated on Sunday night/Monday morning based on CM and so be in with more of a chance, or whether the fact that my first Peak was on Monday morning means I am out of the game for this month.

Glad they were of interest. I'd really like to start doing some crafting, especially as it might give me something to do when I'm jobless :o I've done some painting, watercolours, but I'm not that great. I've also done some pastel work, which I'm better at but I like to do big pictures and then there's nowhere to put them! :o

I did start knitting but that stopped after the last mc as I was knitting booties :o

Any suggestions on good things to start on that are quite simple? I really want a sewing machine so I can learn to make clothes because I want to be one of those mums that makes cool costumes for parties :)

Glad your dad is out of hospital and your MIL has got a "release date" :)

I have been having loads of pg/baby related dreams recently. Last night's was that we kept having babies and we kept losing them :( not fun.

Still no AF but I'm still feeling crampy on and off (nobody tell me this can also be a pg symptom because I know ;)) and I don't feel particularly hopeful.

Hope you all have a nice day (I always write this like I'm not going to be back on before this evening! You guys and I know this just ain't happening! ;))

    xx

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you Emsbet. Try and keep some PMA going ;)
