Right, I've caught up on lappy, which has now flatlined awaiting charge, so I'm back on my phone...
Thanks for all the kindle related replies! I haven't come across anyone who has had one and hated it, just those who have either been surprised by one and loved it, or just against it from the outset... Food for thought  I had a play with the keyboard and non keyboard versions today in currys I think (it's next to comet, so I can never remember!) I know it's not backlit, but it felt/looked really grey/dark from first impressions... Does anyone else find that?
Been mia today, so sorry for the multiple posts while I was catching upMil's flat is nearly ready, and just as well it is, cos there's talk of her being released tomorrow! We've actually had to ask for them to delay til wednesday, cos the painter is finishing off bits and bobs in the morning, then that all needs to set and air out before we can put the furniture back
felt bad suggesting to keep her longer, but it's not habitable as it is, and they don't keep you informed so it's hard to judge how long you've got. The other problem is that she's going home with no physical help (from carers) in place, and it worries me. We've butted heads about this previously though, myself and Mil, so I'm trying to stay on the sidelines this time
Hopefully she'll have the sense to ask/pay for help if, or more likely when, she realises she needs it...
My dad's home safe and sound though, and has managed the (somewhat hellish) stairs on crutches, so that's good
As for ttc, I've still got stretchy clear cm, with pre-af feelings, knackered but struggling to sleep at bedtime, and doing too much. Really trying to resist testing...not sure how long I'll hold out, but right now I just feel like as soon as I get a bfn I'll have sealed my af fate, iyswim?I really want good news to give at christmas

BZ at the moment it is a toss up between the space and need. We have got by without one for 4 years so not sure it is an urgent purchase. We also don't have a microwave. Its like we're in the dark agesI've managed without both, and without tele at the same time too actually, but it's not something I'd volunteer for

 hope it's just break through, but if it's not, is it consolation that your cycle it's shorter?(and that I would've been right!
;))

I think the dark look is because of the way its designed to reduce glare so you can read when it is sunny. When I have looked at it it always seems easy to read.
At least by the end of this week things will be coming back to some form of normality and hopefully good newsOverdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Lol. I said when I ov'd that either way I'd be happy for the shortening cycles (but I take it back I WANT A BFP)
But yes I will be happier than last month I suppose. I got a positive opk:D and I'm under 50 days for a cycle:D. And it gives me another month to bust some more debt! Thanks for making me look for the positives.
Wow. Living without a freezer or a microwave!!! I've had to do it before and I still look at my microwave lovingly every now and then - same with the bath :rotfl: I don't know how you're doing it kitten!!Prov1 £3392 - Aqua £1136 Vanquis £1500, HM £21, Barclays £680 Payday Loans - £1000 Mother - £770

that reminds me, don't have a shower either
the only thing i used the microwave for was melting butter so even if we had the space i probably wouldn't get one.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Thankfully not on a meter but we do preserve the water by sharing baths:) When we do finally move, top thing on the wish list is a shower, even if it is just one over the bath.

Have you tried one of those dodgy eighties shower things that you attach to the bath taps - then half way through one side pops off & either freezes you or gives you 3rd degree burns? I'm assuming they've improved them in the last 30 years?Prov1 £3392 - Aqua £1136 Vanquis £1500, HM £21, Barclays £680 Payday Loans - £1000 Mother - £770

we have one of those things but it isn't long enough to stand up (plus no where for a curtain to go) I tend to use it when i am washing the bath. OH uses it but it isn't comfortable.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500
