Zippy, i love to craft too but gave up for a while and wanted to make some xmas cards this year but struggled to get my mojo back. Whats your favourite craft?
Errrrrm.... probably painting? Usually with acrylics. It's the messiest, most space-hogging, most backbreaking, but I feel like it's the most creative/free/unique when it's done
What about you?
Hope you feel better soonSecretdebts wrote: »Bleeding.

OMG
. DH has just come through the door very upset and shaken because he was mugged as he walked up to the front door.
He is back bruised and bloodied. It was worse than I thought because he surprised them trying to break in, then they attacked him and stole his bag and phone.

I have made some salt dough decorations for presents, some for DD to paint and some I want to to - any ideas on what paint I should use for mine? DD can just use her water-based paints and I'll set it with PVA glue mixed with water, but I want a better finish obviously and am not sure what to buy.Maybe accented with some gold/silver markers?
Also, my mum has given me some fabrics that mean a lot to her and I'd like to do something with them for her 70th in February. I don;t have enough for a quilt and don;t want to do a cushion cover, but I was wondering about a picture made of fabric. Have you got any ideas? Or even some pictures for inspiration? I'm a good sewer but prefer to do things by hand so it is slow.
I don't do a lot with scrap fabrics yet - I've only recently started rag rugging - though you could use that technique for cushions/toys/rugs/blankets/clothes/bags/etc etc"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

Maybe you could ask for/get one for Christmas/with Christmas money....? Or are you more bothered about the space being taken up?Kitten_Pie wrote: »e and w (if i have spelt it right, could be wrong):o"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
 Hi Secret.
BZ at the moment it is a toss up between the space and need. We have got by without one for 4 years so not sure it is an urgent purchase. We also don't have a microwave. Its like we're in the dark agesOverdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500
