Man, picking just one?! Errrrrm.... probably painting? Usually with acrylics. It's the messiest, most space-hogging, most backbreaking, but I feel like it's the most creative/free/unique when it's done What about you?

I don;t have enough for a quilt and don;t want to do a cushion cover, but I was wondering about a picture made of fabric. Have you got any ideas? Or even some pictures for inspiration? I'm a good sewer but prefer to do things by hand so it is slow.

Looks like the girls have been all over this! Emsbet I really like some of the ideas that were on the links you posted too
I don't do a lot with scrap fabrics yet - I've only recently started rag rugging - though you could use that technique for cushions/toys/rugs/blankets/clothes/bags/etc etc

Maybe you could ask for/get one for Christmas/with Christmas money....? Or are you more bothered about the space being taken up?

BZ at the moment it is a toss up between the space and need. We have got by without one for 4 years so not sure it is an urgent purchase. We also don't have a microwave. Its like we're in the dark ages
