Don't appologise, I was the same when I left after both my BFPs :o

    xx

cheers lovely :). I know a while back some regular posters felt a bit put out about lots of posts from people who were pg or not actively ttc. This is a ttc thread first and foremost and I want to respect that. I just like you guys that's all :D

Anniversary presents (can't remember who was asking) For our first anniversary I got mrhappy a share for his fave football club and framed it. He now thinks he is running the club and gets invited to their AGM which makes him feel big :rotfl: Our 2nd anniversary is coming up, which is cotton, and he is getting a t-shirt which says "trophy husband since 2009" on it.

That is a BRILLIANT idea! Thank you :) Much better than the other ones which were going around my head.

I found pre-release Download tickets on-sale on ticketmaster, which I was very tempted by but I couldn't afford two tickets at £180 a pop three weeks before Christmas... Plus, obviously, if everything goes to plan I'm not going to be a huge fan of camping in mid-June next year.

I was just walking home and saw a couple of metre high sparkly reindeers in a shop window! I even took a photo on my phone in the hope that I could upload it but can't work out how...

Just had to share that as it really made me  after all the sparkly reindeer chat on here.

Huzzah! Clearly it's going to be an MSE TTC secret sign. Much better [strike]and more stylish[/strike] than a secret handshake ;)

I feel the same about a pregnancy after a loss thread. I just feel like whatever happens next time around, I'm not going to enjoy it as much because I'm going to be stressed about what happened last time. I had a 'suspected miscarriage' at uni as well, and although it was the wrong time and very much the wrong person (and in some ways a blessing in disguise), it has played on my mind a lot since this one didn't work out, and I think it's going to do so in the future too.

I really feel that lying about having spotting is tempting fate. I was very lucky as my local hospital has a walk in EPU in the mornings, so I was able to be seen that day although I waited around for a good couple of hours.

Oh, and if anyone else says to me 'well, at least you know you can get pregnant', I'm going to punch them in the face.

I'm in a foul mood today. Sorry!

I can't believe some people would lie about something that could potentially deprive someone in need purely for their own selfish reasons. That is horrific.

I'm not moving off the sofa tonight cos I've been literally knee deep in chicken Sh**t all day (I do love being a farmer sometimes) and I'm about as stiff as I can possibly be.

We offered on that house today but they've come back saying they want a much higher offer.

Wonder if their mother ever told them "I want never gets". We're gutted as we can't afford what they're after. But you never know, a bit longer on the market and their wants might change!

Sa ra ra ra - I'm amazed that people would be inconsiderate enough to say something like that.

IIRR, it cropped up not so long ago on the pregnancy <12 weeks thread.

Though that was a poster who had suffered early loss and another who had had a medical history that meant complications were possible.

I'd hate to think anyone would just lie so they didnt have to wait for the 12 weeks to be up !

Period from hell still here :o Hope you all doing well - its Friday :T and today i shall mostly be drowning my sorrows in a bottle of vodka

    :j Congratulations Aless! :j

((hugs)) to all those with AF :( It will be your turn soon :o

I'm still lurking but not posting too often as don't feel I have all that much to say.... I'm not on the <12 weeks thread either as I'm too paranoid.

Got a quiet weekend planned, as DH is away. Although I miss him of course, I'm so looking forward to relaxing and not doing much - it's been such a busy week at work so I'm knackered! Meeting an old friend for brunch tomorrow at my favourite cafe - they do amazing blueberry pancakes with maple syrup...! :D nom nom nom!

  • congrats Aless.... great news! Good luck for the next 9 months :j

Thanks to all you ladies who helped me with my temps the other day - I've taken them as soon as I've woken the past few days (before I've even moved) and they are looking more normal. I'm due to OV in next couple of days so will be keeping close eye on them!

I dont relish the thought of getting up at 6am at the weekend to replicate the timings....

I post on the trying to conceive after a loss forum on Baby and Bump as well as on this one, because everyone there has been through similar experiences. I tend to stick to one fairly long running thread on there, which at any one time only has about a dozen regulars, and find it very helpful when I am having a :( day.

I think one of the things which might enfuriate me if I do get pregnant again, is the posts which pop up every now and then from women who are desparate for an early scan to see their baby, and pretend to have had some bleeding to get one on the NHS. Even though I get my antenatal care privately these days, so it would never impact me, it is hard when you read about ladies who genuinely are having a pregnancy scare but have to wait for up to a week for a slot at EPAU for a scan due to pressure of numbers, when some women have taken the time they so urgently need for a selfish reason. I might also be less than sympathetic to some of the moans and groans about quite minor pregnancy niggles. I do think you appreciate how lucky you are to be pregnant much much more if it has taken quite a while to conceive or if you have suffered losses along the way.

I am horrified people do this!!:eek:

I had an early dildo scan as thought DD was ectopic due to pain (incidentally how I found out I was pg:o), I can't imagine abusing the system in this way.

    Rant over!!:)

Moving date set for tomorrow, have of furnitue gone already, have been at the new house today cleaning and stocking the kitchen, and am now soooo tired. Always tired this half of my cycle though so not reading anything into it.

Hope all OK, last day with internet today so will be returning to lurkdom for a couple of weeks until broadband is reinstated.

apparently new one born every minute from January, I love it, can't wait to watch it all again even though I tend to cry at least once per episode!

I'm horrified too :( Also I thought (correct me if I'm wrong) that a scan will tell you if the baby is fine at that particular moment and at the end of the day can't guarantee everything will be OK 5 minutes later IYSWIM?

Oooh and yes I saw that about OBEM. I absolutely love that show, my first labour was like the girl who had the waterbirth with the great body - only I didn't have the great body lol

I watched the USA one too, but it wasn't half as good as the UK programme. They have far too many drugs in the USA for it to be entertaining enough.
