Can you ladies who are using FF take a look at my chart?
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/3879a8
I've only started charting this month but to get an idea of what i'm supposed to be looking for I've checked out a few other charts but mine just seems so erratic compared to them!!
The big temp dip on CD8 is due to me flying back from hols and hardly having any sleep but even the rest of the time seems like a rollercoaster!!
When I look at others charts, pre-ov temps seem to fluctuate between maybe 0.1-0.2 degrees but mine seem to fluctuate between 0.5-0.6 degrees on a daily basis. To me this doesnt look great
I'm charting pretty much the same time of day (around 6am) except weekends so perhaps I just have an odd body :rotfl:
If someone is more of an expert and can tell me its pretty normal I'll be happy!!! :T0 -

You temps are quite erratic although I have seen some charts that look similar.
When you temp is it the first thing you do? You need to take it having moved very minimally before hand. Do you sleep through or do you have erratic sleep patterns? Do you sleep with you mouth open? This can make a big difference.
FF suggests that if you have erratic temps that using the BBT vaginally rather than orally can help but that's not everyone's cup of tea.
Sometimes erratic temps can be a sign of an anovulatory cycle.
You have only been doing it a couple of weeks and so it's difficult to tell. Are you using OPKs too to help you pin point ov?

Thanks Emsbet, what do you mean by an anovulatory cycle?
I keep the thermometer by the bed so its one of the first things I do when I wake but I guess I do move about a bit first, and say bye to my OH as he's up much earlier than me!!
I've been doing OPK's for the last 3 months so am getting a good idea of it - they're always showing positive around the same time every month so I just wanted to do temps to confirm ov but not sure if I'll be able to tell by this chart!!! :eek:0 -
Hard to say sq1rrel5, I'm not expert but they do look rather erratic to me. You have to try and be consistent as possible...also, are you sure it's not your thermometer? (is it old? are the batteries possibly going?) Sorry, not sure sweetie.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Oh I've just googled anovulatory cycle - thats not good, I really hope its not that.:(
I'm convinced that I do OV though - my cycle has been pretty regular for the last 6 months, I have postive opk's and then my AF has almost certainly come 14 days later on the dot.
Perhaps I'm just not being consistent enough - I will have to try and be more precise when I take my temps every morning. I suppose if I get used to it this month, then perhaps next month may look more normal hopefully!!0 -

Anovulatory means a cycle where you don't ov If your getting +ve OPKs then you don't need to worry about too much although it's possible to get the surge in LH (and therefore +ve OPK) and not ov.
I think it is probably just down to it been your first cycle temping and just need some practice. If you can it should be the first thing you do when you wake up. It can just be something such the temp in you bedroom fluctuating or not having the covers on you in the night etc.

Don't worry about the anovulatory part at the moment. It would only be something you need to think about if it was it was happening every cycle. Forget I said that for now, it's just one of many reasons for fluctuating temps.

Thanks so much Emsbet and Aless, i'll try not to worry about it too much this month.
I am always the prime example of someone who always thinks the worst - I'm a nightmare for doing that!!
I guess I just need to get into a better habit. Alarm set for tomorrow morning then!!! I havent been recording the time that I am taking it - just a guess based on when OH gets out of bed so I'll try and record the time so at least that will give me a better idea of things too.
I've been drinking lots of grapefruit juice this month too - I know some of you hate it but am loving it!!!! :rotfl:0 -
Hi Peeps...havent posted much lately...i'm CD18 and not much to report...my temps are still low..no ewcm and on 6th day of high on cbfm...no peak although im not expecting a peak as its only my first month on cbfm..grrrr ...just wish something would happen...i average a 31day cycle and although i wasnt temping or cbfm-ing last month , i thought i ov-d on cd18 last mth (going on ewcm).
BD this morning, so gonna try every other day as nothing looks like its happening...i tried opks last month and had no luck, they were all negative...was holding off fluids and doing them mid afternoon.
Have tried again this month but they are all still negative.....do you get evap lines on them? I came across yesterdays opk test in bin and there was a faint line other than the dark control...they have all been non-existent lines when i initially do the test....not even getting a faint LH line on my cbfm sticks!
Anyway on a more positive note..ive been swayed into purchasing a FF membership,... my trial had just finished today and i 'liked' it on facebook .....was a very quick 'like' mind...not wanting work colleagues knowing what i was up to so quickly 'unliked' it lol!
Onwards and upwards...hopefully i'll get some signs in next few days that im ov-ing.0
