Loving the talk about Christmas and love the sparkly reindeer too. Bought some cards and wrapping paper at shops today and have already bought some presents but lots more to do. Maybe planning and sorting for Xmas will keep my mind off the 2ww!

Oooo! Pretty! How many pennies? I may have to get one :o

Not many pennies at all! It was £8. There are loads on their website as well, they come in many colours.

LOL about the life size reindeer - got a picture in my mind of trying to get it out the door at BHS!

That would have been a job for DH, I think :D

I had wrapped everything, but we went shopping on Sunday and DH has been bringing things home from work all week, so I need to sit down and have another session. I had a bit of a hissy fit because I couldn't find any paper I liked, so they're all wrapped in brown paper, using red and gold ribbon with chocolate tree decorations and red bells attached to it. It's surprisingly effective!

Of course, I subsequently found some nice paper in House of Fraser. [strike]But we won't be using it because it will upset my theme.[/strike]

I have bought most of the xmas pressies, and they are tucked up in the corner all wrapped and ready. Most of the stuff we are giving this year are homemade cakes and christmas cakes, so have just got a load of dried fruit sat in my kitchen in brandy, smells yummy. Got 7 cakes to make this year, and 2 puddings, and none of them are for us!!!! I've still got 2 layers of my wedding cake left to eat yet, one is being saved for the future, and one I'll re-ice for us for xmas.
I love decorating for xmas, but have lost the interest in the last couple of years, think it's because its usually just the 2 of us and we don't usually have visitors. But a load of my friends are coming over for a meal a couple of days before christmas, and then a load more at New Year, plus OH's dad for another meal. So yay get to celebrate properly this year.

    Nothing else going on here.

CD15, may have occidentally bought one-year FF membership:shocked:
I was never going to pay for charting, but cracked when I saw the Facebook promo (I blame emsbet).
Hope I don't suddenly get a BFP now that I've paid for it:shocked:
I, however, am hoping that you suddenly do :D:p £15ish is a small price to pay :p
Littlezee, good luck tomorrow for your appt:)
I haven't seen any doctors since my IVF back in May, think it may be time to pay a visit soon:o
Hope your MIL is OK (((hugs))).
Thanks :) I know a few on here have had to get to this point, and I know I'm not really saying anything new, but while I suspected that everything may not be quite right, I don't think I honestly thought we'd have to go through with "getting help" part :o

As for MIL... I actually ducked out of going with DH to see her last night, it's just getting too depressing :o Apparently we were supposed to see the surgeon team tomorrow, to discuss the op she's having I guess, but DH has a dentist appt in the morning, and the FS in the afternoon, so I rang to try and find out when they'd see us... can I find out? Can I heck! It's annoying as hell trying to get anything out of those guys!

    (sorry, rant over :o)

    Hello everyone!

    Long time no speak...
    Hey Derby! :)
I still read the forum everyday and I can't believe the number of people who have come and gone! How fast does time go?!?
I'm getting to the point where I see a name, recognise it, and then sometimes I'm not sure if they've been lurking and popped up again, or had a baby and come back too TTC the next, or what! :o
I guess I should probably think about moving to the > 12 months thread...but that seems so scary!
Good luck with the tests etc. Don't leave if you don't want to... I'm scared too!! :o
When I told my mum, her first reaction was 'Is it life sized?'. WHY would I buy a life-size sparkly reindeer? That would clearly be excessive. It's only a foot tall. [strike]They didn't sell life sized ones, otherwise I would have one of those instead.[/strike]
:rotfl: You're on a roll for making me grin atm ;):D

We didn't really bother with Christmas last year, I think because we were focussed on babies and it sort of felt a bit flat... We were gonna go all out this year, I think, cos we figured we'd either have a bubs or a bump for this Christmas (well, the odds were on our side ) ...now I feel obliged to put up decs cos we said last year that we'd spend this Christmas with MIL here (again, because we thought we'd have bubs or bump so wouldn't want to travel to my folks' :o)... my heart's not in it though, honestly. I've not even really started Christmas shopping either, which I normally would've done by now

Seconded (thirded?) - it's obviously along the same lines as 'If you buy a mooncup you'll have to stop using it and then 'upgrade' it shortly afterwards...
:rotfl: You're on a roll for making me grin atm ;):D

Glad to hear it - we all need to have a laugh, if we didn't we'd cry.

I have done most of my shopping for Christmas; mainly because I can't bear the general public, so I'd rather not leave it too late so that they're out en masse.

It depends what they are. Some definitely shouldnt be taken when ttc as they cause foetal defects, some are absolutely fine. Did you tell the dentist you were ttc? If so, he probably prescribed something safe, but if in doubt double check with a pharmacist, and if it isn't OK either ask your dentist to prescribe something else more suitable or take a month off ttc to let them get out of your system.
