  • Hello ladies

Congrats on bfps that have occurred while I was away.

Have been home about a week now but avoided coming on here because I'm feeling a bit poop about the whole thing. More people telling me they're pregnant in real life everyone seems to achieve it so easily. It makes me wonder what I'm doing wrong and it's hard not to be upset which is not the way I want to react when someone tells me the news! Its incredibly frustrating. You start wondering if it's just not meant to be. But I've always imagined having kids so this unsucessful ttc is hard. It's an emotional rollercoaster. I just wish I'd started doing this in my 20s.

Plus I think I didn't get home in time for ovulation so that's another month gone. Our last try will be December because my contract finishes next sept so I wouldn't get maternity payments if I got pregnant after dec. After dec I'll have to forget ttc and concentrate on getting another job. So all in all I'm a bit pi&&ed off!!

Sorry to moan and bring the tone down - this is the only place I can really tell people what I'm feeling. And also talk to people who "get it". I don't want to stress oh out.

On the positive side I had an amazing holiday. I hope everyone's doing good and I'll try to catch up on what I've missed xx

BigZippy - sorry about the news about your mil, I hope all goes well with her operation. I hope everything goes ok at docs and you get the referral. So sorry you and oh are having such a stressful time.

Whattodonow - ttc is so stressful and all the timing and planning which we put it only makes it more upsetting when we miss ov or AF shows up. We just have to keep trying and hope it helps. I am 38 and fear I have left it too late but only met oh late in live and only got married in Aug. We have been trying since Oct 2009 and oh keeps saying that as he is 47 and doesn't want to be an old dad. I have to just keep hoping that each month is going to the month. I will keep my fingers crossed you get you BFP by the end of the year.
  • Morning all,

QQ can u put me down as CD1 today please.

    :(:(:(

I give up with eating and taking all the supplements to try and get a BFP
I have put on about 2 stone, so with the party time round the corner in going to concentrate on getting the extra weight off.

Sorry to hear about your MIL BZ. Gentle, reassuring punch on the arm for you. I really hope that the op goes super well, and that she recovers well too.

Emsbet - fingers crossed the bleeding stops this week too!

HUGS for everyone else who needs them.

A big congrats to Esio Trot! :D:D

    And, SBDTA!

((hugs)) TTC40 Sorry I can't be of help re: CBFM sticks as I've never used them. Hopefully one of the ladies who do will be along soon to shed some light on the situation.
To put a picture on here you need to upload it to somewhere like photobucket or flickr. Then you can copy the link then click on the icon above with the mountains on and paste.

((hugs)) whattodonow It's difficult isn't it seeing others have what you want? I'm the same I wish I'd started earlier but I didn't get together with my DH until I was 28 and I'm glad I didn't have a baby with any of my ex's!
I'm in the same boat re: maternity pay. With Alex we had timed it just right in that I would be made redunant in March but also be far enough along to get the full maternity pay. Now we won't get that even if I got pg tomorrow (which isn't going to happen!). Fortunately DH earns enough that if I do get pg before I qualify for maternity pay elsewhere we could just about manage.
I really hope it works out for you and you get your BFP this month.

    xx

I've decided that I'm not going to worry about what I eat and drink while TTC now. Going out getting drunk seems to work for so many other people I might give that a try! ;)

Thank you for all the thoughts yesterday. It was hard but we got through it. The double whiskeys helped (especially as I haven't had a drink for 8 months)

I was saying to my OH on the way to the crematorium that I was feeling quite strong however felt a bit like Dr Kelso from Scrubs as my eyes wouldn't stop leaking. It was difficult to say good bye to Nathan and Lincoln however our close friends and families were there which helped.

OH father sent us an email which I thought was lovely (see below) I hope it helps others who are going through similar:

"The worst is over, even though you must feel as if you are at the bottom of a well, with slippery sides, and a long way to try and get back to daylight. Only you two can get to the top, but remember that there are hands and arms reaching down to help you on your way."

:grouphug: to all those that need it.

BZ I hope that your mil is ok.
Emsbet I hope the bleeding calms down for you.

I'm glad you got through yesterday ok and that you had those closest to you there to help you through.

Thanks for posting the email, it's beautiful and so very true.

Just de-lurking to say that I'm thinking of you ladies that are in need of hugs.

I've been feeling a bit blue myself so haven't been reading the posts as closely as I normally would but having looked at the latest posts hugs to zippy, emsbet, whattodonow and especially kitten_pie.

Sorry if I’ve missed anyone but hugs to you all. And big hello’s to everyone else.
