Not sure what is wrong with me, I have been really happy yesterday and today, nothing could dampen my happy mood and it has tried it's best today.

That was my PMA I sent out yesterday, 'tis powerful stuff! :p

BZ, you do right not to tell your Mum you're trying if it adds any more pressure, we all have different relationships with our families and what works for one doesn't work for the other. :) (Oh, and treat yourself to the jacket!)

Vesper, that woman was a bit cheeky for moaning a bucketful about paying £30 for a function room! We had our 'not really a wedding reception but a party to celebrate our wedding abroad do' at our Rugby club and paid £100, and that was reduced because OH's a member!

A lady I work with is nearly 5 months PG and she's got the loveliest little bump, I want one! :o My brother's-fiancee's-brother's-wife is PG too, I'm hoping that all of this baby-dust is going to come my way too, I want a sticky bean for Christmas! :D

Sqirrel, get yourself another test if it'll put your mind at ease, I got early response tests from Home Bargains for about £3.50 when I felt like getting a second opinion! Still a BFN but at least I'd double checked! :o

Boo to still bleeding Emsbet, hope it stops soon, like, now! :)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Morning peeps.. Just got a newbie question about my cbfm... I'm cd4 at moment ( first mth of using it), so I understand it'll be asking for a stick on thurs, cd6. Am u better dipping or poas? Does one give a better reading over the other?
Also someone on here mentioned saving the used sticks the other day.. Think it was ttc40... What's the reasoning behind that... Searched back on posts but couldn't find out why??

    Thank in advance x

Feeling very confused this morning and could do with some opinions.

CD12 today. CBFM was low on CD6 and has been high every day since, including this morning. This is my second month of using it. But Digital CB OPK was positive yesterday afternoon and again this morning. CM has been clear and stretchy for last couple of days, but this morning is creamy again with no stretch. FF predicts based on last month that I am most likely to ovulate tomorrow. Very confused by the fact that CBFM has not detected a peak. This is our second month of using it this time round, and last time I got OPK in afternoon and peak the following morning. I wonder if I confused it because I kept refeeding the same used stick last month after the first peak, as I had read somewhere that it doesn't read them after it registers a first peak? Now I am wondering whether it DOES read them but just doesn't override its 2 peaks and 1 high default setting, and based on last months readings, it is thinking that my baseline levels of LH and oestrogen at this point in the cycle are higher than they are in fact?

Anybody got any ideas? When did I/am I likely to ovulate? My temp chart isn't particularly illuminating yet either, but this is my first month temping and doesn't it take 2 or 3 days after the event to detect ovulation anyway? We have been BDing every day for the last few days but not sure whether OH can maintain that for the whole week!

Nicki it would depend on your cycle though. I use the Ovulation sticks and I have negative until CD18. But my cycles are normally 32 days.

I normally have a fairly regular 27/28 day cycle. It is more the conflict between the OPKs and the CBFM which is confusing me tbh. Why would one be predicting ovulation today or tomorrow at the absolute outside and the other not, and which is more reliable?

Looking at your comments I would say that you would be ovulating any day now. I would BD just to make sure for next few days. Not sure why one is saying you will be ovulating and the other is not. Maybe one is detecting it with a longer timescale and the other is a shorter timescale towards ovulation. Tbh I would go with the positive one.

Yesterday I had a high reading on my ovulation strips and have period type cramps which started from yesterday. I know that I am ovulating. My temperature has also started to rise.

How do you feel today Nicki?

Absolutely shattered, as we acted upon the positive OPK last night :D

Seriously, I am extremely tired, a little nauseous for some reason, with tender boobs, and frequent urination. None of which are standard Ov signs for me I don't think.

We did BD on Friday, Sunday and Monday night, and I was assuming we needed to try again tonight and tomorrow. Just not sure OH can manage more than that without collapsing in an exhausted heap. Particularly as he likes to be kept in the dark about whether it is or isn't a good time to perform :)

  • Found a boots test in the bathroom and did that... bloody BFN! Still reluctant to take any other meds until AF turns up.
