    cd1 for me please QQ
    Gah! big hugs xx
  • Well look after yourself and get your OH to look after you too -
Once Ive got over that initial feeling of mega frustration and upset on days like that I try to break down things that are out of my control and rationalise by doing something about the things I can address like the tip in the loft (lol) or the washing but then this baby making stuff, for example, is out of our hands really - you do all you can to help it along but you can only go so far so stressing about it will only make it worse - I completely and totally know this is easier said than done - Im sat here thinking £100 quid for a blood test could possible be justified (when it cant - and if I hang on 5 days I can do a £4 superdrug test!) but thats just life I suppose -

    Hugs!
    xx

Thanks tryingforathird, I'm still feeling a bit wobbly, but have stopped sobbing my eyes out at least! I did at least take all the recycling out and brought some wood for the fire in, so that's something :) I'm sure I read that blood tests are less sensitive than sticks anyway in the very early stages, so it wouldn't be worth the £100:eek::eek:

Hugs for divorcingjack - I sort of know how you feel - this is month 8 of us trying, and I was devastated when AF turned up last month as found out a friend was pregnant on the same day. I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed that this month is your month and mine too, as I think we've been cycle buddies in the past too. I think the trouble I had was the feeling that I was putting my life on hold constantly as I didn't want to do things like apply for a new job etc in case I got pregnant. It has helped save me some money on clothes though, which is a bonus (not bought new ones for the same reason). Make sure you cry, scream, talk to OH and acknowledge your feelings rather than trying to supress them. It is ok to feel upset - it is almost like a monthly greiving process in a way, which is why TTC can be so stressful. Send me a PM if you like, and treat yourself kindly. Do something that's just for you - for me, it's taking myself to Starbucks and having a lovely coffee and chill-out with a magazine or just having a pyjama day (if possible).

Hi cycle buddy *waves*. You've hit the nail on the head - everything is on hold for me too. I'm so bored with my current job and just got turned down for a promotion BUT the maternity benefits are excellent. I have an opportunity which has been floating around for a while, but I don't want to move, then get pregnant and get no maternity pay at all! Of course, what I really want to do is to be able to make enough money from my own business to stop living in flaming corporate land. Business-nonsense is so not me

I have my fingers (and toes) crossed for you. Thank you so much for understanding, it's set me off again!

    ((hugs))

What a friend suggested to me, is that if you are struggling to (as she put it, up the duff) then stop thinking of it as trying for a baby. Put all your energies into something like painting the house, or landscaping the garden,,,and just have some "proper" sex...you know the sex you have for the fun and pleasure, the naughty kind...not just missionary "cos its the best way for sperm to meet egg" and not just with one aim in mind.

Or the other option (apparently) is to book a holiday!

Just back from honeymoon, but a holiday sounds great :) There's certainly enough jobs around the house that need doing  and don't even mention the garden..

hugs all (and sorry for moaning..)

    Stupid stupid body :(

    CD1. So gutted.

This will be our 9th cycle coming up and we did everything right this noe - loads of BD'ing, great CM, really consistent temps, sore bl***dy bo*bs etc etc etc.

I'm so scared that I'm going to be the same as my mum - what can I do to stay relaxed? I can't relax, I'm too worried! But I know that I won't get pregnant while I'm stressed, but that MAKES me stressed!!

we should have started she I was younger - my career hasn't even turned out to be worth the wait and the house is a disaster zone and we can't buy the land we need to build our own house.

I'm sorry ladies, but I'm so upset just now.
Good lord you need a massive hug. Come snot on me and have a big hug. :D*Waves minstels bag* *Hot water bottle brewing* *Big fat snuggly duvet*

Awwwwwwww! Thanks SO much. Minstrels AND a hot water bottle AND a snuggly duvet? Life doesn't get better :j (unless you add salt and vinegar crisps...)

This thread is the best - I was feeling thoroughly miserable, and now I just feel like I'm surrounded by all my friends. *cries, but in a happy way*

I've even done the washing up :D

A colleague on mat leave just been to visit.

I put work to one side for half an hour & had a cuppa, natter & a cuddle (with the 6 month old - not the colleague).

He's a sweet baby & really good. Just the type I would like!

I'm really not very good at this waiting lark. We've old been trying for a month & already I'm thinking what if it doesn't happen!

    Maybe month two!

I'm sitting here with a cuppa and some dairy milk (left over from the last sad time - OH goes shopping when he doesn't know how to cheer me up), although more tea and choccie is always appreciated :)

I have to ask but how?! How is this possible when it's not even implanted and is amybe only just reaching the womb?

good...(tho, is it just me or does Dairy Milk not taste the same since the Americans bought it?)

What you need to add to that is a good film (PS I love you...Gerard Butler...hell if I go to Ireland and that doesnt happen to me, I am going to be so :mad::mad:!)
