My DH suggested that too, I cant really be bothered to but will if it will save me money as I do have a sewing machine, but, it seems that the width most curtains go up to is 90'. and our rail is 112'! its because we have a bay window so half the curtain is covering the wall and not even the glass.

I do have the old curtains in the loft but they will look sooo bad with the new paint colour!

I think - just as you have put, that i am 1 DPO but my temp was a bit lower this morning, dont know why! So will see what happens tomorrow.

If you can get them in the right length, you could always buy two sets of curtains which added together will be the right width? It would be as easy to join them length wise with a machine as to shorten them. And 2 pairs of ready made in the sale will still be much cheaper than 1 pair of bespoke.

Or do what I did for out bedroom which has 3 windows each with a 275cm drop (yes you read that right, the ceiling height is 9.5 feet). I bought a bolt of fabric I liked and a bolt of lining material from ebay and made my own for a fraction of what I was quoted for bespoke (about £300 rather than the £3,500 I was quoted). It only took about 3 days to make them and I did them when I was 8 months pregnant with my last one and frantically nesting. Hanging them was harder in that condition though :rotfl:

I have been having so much fun with little kitty - here is a picture of her on my knee. She's a little crazy at times, running riot around the house and then she goes to the other extreme curling up on my knee, snoozing and purring away...simply gorgeous.:(

Gah s'not the ttcing thing really tbh its the leaving the 20's. I really don't want too :o:(

I was like that before my 30th (earlier this year)... in fact for years I had been dreading it. Turns out I turned 30 and was completely not bothered. It was actually a bit of a relief - I think I just 'gave up' pretending I was still a youngster and irresponsible! Hence the BDing now :)

I also need curtains but I discovered last night after measuring, we have a very odd window that does not fit standard curtain lengths/widths. so will probably have to get them made to order which would cost a fortune. So might have to resort to putting up a sheet when DH insists on walking about in his boxers at night as Im paranoid people can see in through the net curtains! :rotfl:

We had the exact same problem when we moved in our house for our front bay window... we got our curtains - new - from ebay! Its great, you can sort by size... in fact we need new ones now, I might have a gander after posting :) Ikea also have a good drop but the width wasnt wide enough for our windows.
I just feel low as everyone else around me seems to be pregnant, it is happening to everyone but me....Good luck to everyone else trying! xxxx

Welcome! Dont worry we all feel the same on here from time to time, its perfectly normal! Ive only been on here a short while but the ladies on here are lovely and supportive and full of useful (and detailed!) advice :)

    Alex is clever, it's a unisex name:cool:

I don't know the sex either, but there's old wives tale about the location of the placenta on pre 12 week scans and the sex, and mine was on the right (male), so that will have to do:o

That's a good way of doing it. I don't know where mine was other than it was posterior. I wanted it eat lots of savoury foods (not usually like me) which is supposed to indicate a boy too. :o

We like to think that his cousin (the one lost by my BIL and his wife at 20+ weeks) is looking after him and they are playing together.:A

Not at all, emsbet, please post whatever and whenever you like my dear. You have been supportive to us all over the last xx months, we'd like to do the same. As far as I'm concerned, yes I do worry about mc, the thought petrifies me - but there's no point in denying it because the sad fact is that a large number of pregnancies DO end in mc :( Knowledge is power, an' all that - I don't want to bury my head in the sand about what COULD happen.
