Quite young but dont know exactly - colleague only brought it home about 3 weeks ago!! I was the one who wanted it in the first place - saw it in the pet shop by our work but didnt want to take on a kitten whilst trying for a baby (not that I told him that obviously) but then he bought it instead! He has to go and see his family this weekend so I volunteered to take it - dont mind having a part time pet!!!

Hope its house trained - OH and are running round tonight trying to kitten-proof everything!!! :rotfl:

Sexymouse I know how you feel, my best friend knows we TTC, we started a few months after she got her BFP(on first month of trying!!!) and she's just mentioned to me that they thinking about TTC#2. She then asked how things were going with our TTC, I told her and she replied "I don't know why you getting so worried about it, why don't you just adopt or something".

Whattodonow I agree its something to think about, when we do finally get our BFP I think I'm going to keep it very quiet on the Facebook front. I might start a blog and only let certain people know. Having babies and scans "in your face" everytime you log onto Facebook isn't pleasant

    *sigh*
    CD8 and spotting...

If I was being optimistic I'd say that my cramps and temp dip yest could have been implantation, and the spotting is implantation bleeding. The thing is, last month I had a dip followed by high temps and spotting, which continued for a week until AF started at 14DPO. :( I reckon the same thing is happening all over again :(

I'm fed up, I'm hormonal, I'm tired and I can't handle failure yet again. my cycles are getting longer and longer, so I have even less chance of getting pg.

DH's all excited cos I told him that my temp was back up, I know he thinks I could well be pg this time. I haven't told him about the spotting - it only started tonight after he came home with a massive lump on his head from playing football. I don't want to tell him now as he's feeling rubbish enough :o

Sorry for being such a moaning minnie :o I will be more cheerful tomorrow (maybe!)

    Morning all,

Thanks for all of the hugs yesterday. It's the first time that I've been so upset about TTC, as I've managed to just look forward to the next time in previous cycles. I'm trying not to think about my friend's baby now, and concentrating on us. I took the cat to bed yesterday afternoon, and we snuggled and watched a film until Moon got home from work. We spent some time talking it through, and he is disappointed too, but said, "when can we start trying again?" I've only got 3 sticks left for my CBFM, so I think I'm not going to bother with it this cycle, and Moon and I will just DTD as often as we can. Hopefully if we start to take a more relaxed approach, this may help.

So pleased to hear that your little Lilly is ok whattodonow - I told Moon all about her, and he's pleased that she is ok too. Give her a hug from us.

It is our 6-month wedding anniversary on Saturday, and as Moon was leaving to go to work this morning, he spotted a parcel in the porch. We opened it, and it's a lovely present from our Canadian wedding witnesses. It was a box of crepe mix (Moon ordered these to be made specially during our last breakfast together in Jamaica), a bottle of Canadian maple syrup from Ontario (where they live), some Lindor chocolates (the husband and I both love these), and a little wooden jewellery box for me, which was hand-carved in Canada, along with a Happy 6 month Anniversary card. It's really made our day, and I'm just off to write them a thank you email! We were so lucky that we met such a lovely couple (I met them on TripAdvisor when I appealed for witnesses for our wedding) and we only met them in real life the night before we got married.

Hugs to all who need or want them,

    sexymouse xx
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Sexymouse, what a lovely thing for your witnesses to do. :)

I think you are right to relax for a while and see what happens. I told my best friend that we are TTC and explained that nothing has happned so far and we have started using OPKs etc and she looked horrified and told me to chill out!!
Its alright for her as she pretty much got pg on the first attempt - both times, but I do see where she's coming from.
Easier said than done though as its so easy to become obsessed about stuff like this!!

QQ, can you put me down for CD1 today please? :( Knew AF was coming didnt I, just turned up a day or two later than expected just to tease me!! :rotfl:

  • Hi ladies, can i join this thread? We've been trying since July and just had a BFN today, with AF due today/tomorrow. At the moment i haven't been temping or anything but am thinking about moving to something like that this month. I don't want to get too involved with that kind of thing yet as it's still early days, so what would you experienced ladies recommend?
