Welcome Maddie - I hope your stay is short and you get your bfp soon. I have a cbfm (clear blue fertility monitor) which tells me when I ov so that I can ensure that we bd at the right times. It is quite expensive though and I know that quite a few ladies on here use ov sticks to indicate the time that they are ov. Some also temp, but that seems like hard work to me and I am sure i would forget to do it every day.
  • Hi, thanks primmer. I don't think I'm ready to pay for a fertility monitor but I am thinking about using the ov sticks- any recommendations?

I'm a bit concerned about the fact that my DH is type 1 diabetic and I've heard a number of different things on whether it affects fertility, is that something anyone else has dealt with?

    Welcome Maddie_S! :hello:

Well we went to the cinema last night to see Jane Eyre, and Michael Fassbender as Mr Rochester put me in the mood for some BDing with DH when we got home! :o;):D

Should be ovulating around this time, so fingers crossed. :)

Sorry for TMI, but after BDing last night and when I put my legs above my head :o:rotfl: it felt like DH's erm fluid was sitting outside my area IYSWIM. Does anyone else get that? :o

welcome Maddie! I use the clear blue digital ov sticks very easy to read and you can use first thing which is good for me as I could never hold my wee for the few hours in the afternoon other tests need otherwise. The others are cheaper though, I think amazon is usually the cheapest no matter which ones you get.

Excellent timing Sq1rrel :j. I'm sure work gets in the way of conception, I got pregnant when we had all those bank holidays in April :) Maybe that's why all those teenagers are always getting up the duff? :rotfl:Good luck with the kitten proofing, remember they can get through smaller gaps and jump higher than you think :D Mine used to love climbing up the curtains and sitting on top of the curtain pole

Your wedding sounds very romantic and spontaneous Sexymouse, congrats on the 6 month anniversary :)

(((hugs))) BB1984, sometimes spotting means absolutely nothing at all, you're by no means out yet so don't lose hope :)

I think I ov'd yesterday which was the ONLY day for a week we didn't bd:mad:. Going to try again tonight, gave it a go this morning but we didn't make it to "the end" and there's a limit to how late you can be for work :D. Still I think there is a reasonable chance isn't there? we bd Mon night and Tue night and I got the positive first thing Tuesday morning. Thinking about it we may have passed midnight on Tuesday which makes it early hours Wed morning so perhaps we did technically bd on the day of ov.

I get that too, I think it's just general bd "gunk" that gets all over the place :D

Oh good, that's ok then! I think that some escaped on to the sheet before I even got in my legs in the air!:rotfl:

Thanks colli. It wasn't very spontaneous - we'd been engaged for 7 years, and I had always wanted to get married on the beach. The only problem we had, was that no-one could afford to come out with us, hence the hunt for witnesses. As it turned out, it was quite nice only having them, because it meant that we didn't have to worry about entertaining family and friends. Here are some pics if you're interested.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
