I haven't experienced any negative side effects from EPO yet Rebekah, although it does seem to have delayed my ovulation and lengthened my cycle by a couple of days.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • Thanks everyone :) We're doing ok, but it's still feeling a bit one day at a time - I have periods of extreme PMA and then complete 'it's not fair' moments. I took one day off work, but I've been in other than that, which I think has helped - even if I'm not doing a great deal it's very distracting being in the office and I know I'd sit at home and wallow otherwise! The scan is this afternoon and I'm hoping that they will say everything is gone and we just have to wait for the bleeding to stop before trying again (seriously, I've been bleeding for like, 2 weeks now... apart from anything else, I'm getting extremely frustrated IYKWIM!).

Plus, you know. All inclusive holiday in Corfu for a week tomorrow, so I'm planning on hitting the bar, hard ;)

So, moving on, it seems that what I've mainly missed is 8 BFPs this month - good luck to everyone!

I should probably join the TTC fit club but I mainly CBA. And I like my b00bs. And I don't really do running.

So, quick question... what's the advantage in using preseed or the like? Does it actually help conception, or is it just a conception friendly alternative to normal lube?

    • 91 percent get pregnant within 36 cycles (about three years)
    • 93 to 95 percent get pregnant within 48 cycles (about four years)

I'm on my 22nd cycle but we didn't BD on 6 cycles, so it's still my 16th cycle:o

Soooo - my temps were still up this morning. I feel like I am playing TTC bingo, one more temp thats either the same or above and I will have ovulate.

Except, my throat was sore when I woke up and my glands feel tender and my nose is stuffy, so its probably this causing the rise in temp, right?
    :p Fingers crossed:o

Believe it or not, it was just my fat a$$!

Although of course, I'm going to tell everyone we were having wild passionate youknowhatsits. :D

It was on the spin cycle thankfully so no mess. DH took it round his mum's to spin as it was all sopping wet. We're off to look for a new one after work tonight. Shouldn't complain really as it was DH's grandad's old one and is over 10 years old! :o
Hope you can find a nice one soon:o
Wow!!! That preseed I 'accidentally' ordered yesterday afternoon has just been delivered! How's that for speed!! Sat down with a cuppa reading the leaflet, then will have to hide it before dh comes home lol.
    I didn't tell my DH about Preseed, he doesn't suspect a thing:p
Hmmm. From preseed instructions .... For use with condoms apply directly from the tube. ...

Why would you use condoms with preseed. Doesn't that completely defeat the object?:rotfl:
    :D
I suppose you can use it as a lube:cool:

Does anyone know whether it will pick up ovulation or not because I've started temping late? i have long cycles and would presume that IF I did ovulate it would happen later in the cycle than the usual of around CD14.
It will pick up ov so long as you haven't ov'd yet:)
plan is to wait until Sunday as originally planned as AF is due there or thereabouts!
Good luck, and well done for not doing a sneaky test:T
Been looking at the CBFM, they seem very expensive, where is the best place to buy them from?
If you are lucky, you can get them at £20 at Superdrugs, but I've never seen it. Otherwise Amazon or ebay?
Remember, you can resell them after you've finished with it:cool:

Also you need to get the sticks (Amazon is the cheapest last time I looked), and batteries (like the ones for the TC remotes).

I've been umming and ahhhing about the CBFM as it says that it might not work if you've got PCOS although I have read that it might if you're on Metformin.

So still ummming and ahhhing. Anyone with PCOS who takes Metformin using CBFM? If so what are your thoughts? Or is there a Metformin taking PCOSer who has decided not to use CBFM after looking into it. All thoughts welcome.
Does OPKs work for you? Some people with PCOS has elevated LH and/or estrogen, and might get + all the time.

Sa-ra-ra-ra. When I had my first miscarriage, I bled for three weeks, so what you aare experiencing is normal (if a total PITA). If it gives you any hope, we DTD twice after my bleeding stopped, totally randomly, it was just a healing thing for us, and I got PG with DD. Just take time to grieve, and take care of yourself sweetie. :A

    And congratulations to pistachio.

If you don't have the right kind of ewcm, then this will help the swimmers swim, but if you have yours, then it won't do much other than being conception friendly lube.
  • When in the cycle does implantation bleeding usually occur?

We're going to look for one tonight, as well as a fridge/freezer as that is ancient too and we've been putting off replacing it. I find it so boring shopping for things like that. :o

It's completely normal that you have up and down moments. I hope that you enjoy your holiday x

I haven't used OPKs a lot but they are often negative so I guess I don't have elevated levels of LH/estrogen.

The blood tests that I had to confirm PCOS weren't really that abnormal (although I was taking Metformin at the time).

What I usually do is find one online at a good price and try to price match it locally:money:

    :

In theory, but the later in that time period it happens, the more likely it is to be pre AF spotting.

You aren't out until witch truly shows, but only 30% of women have implantation bleeding at all and of those the vast majority report one or two spots of blood around day 6, or some blood streaked CM.

IB is one of the most perfidious ss tricks IMHO. It usually means AF is on it's way but most of us, me included, interpret any early spotting as a good sign, then crash drastically when it turns out not to be.

I think it can be earlier than 6dpo by the way. In my last cycle, I was due to ov on Tuesday and had a small IB on Sunday. I wasn't temping so I guess I could have ov'd earlier but not that much earlier and conceived as DH was away until the Saturday.
