:o - Yet another sillly opk question. I'm doing the opks and for the last two days the test line has been a lot stronger than normal - but it's still not quite as strong as the control line so it's still a negative. Does anybody else have this happen?? Does it mean that a positive is on the way & I've just got to hang on ..... cd23:eek: now lol.

Secretdebts that usually happens for me on the ICs...

The Irish. When I went over to see my now DH one time we went for a Sunday lunch with his dad, and the meat came with carrots, cabbage, roasties, mash and chips. I couldn't believe it!

Thats 3 types thats even worse!
Quick question (again lol). I've been getting darker lines on the opk - not quite as dark as the test line but very nearly so think I should be bding tonight. Husbands just got back from the pub and is quite tiddly (& annoying), plus I believe that he has erm tmi already relieved himself (judging by the tv being on a rude channel when I got home). Sooooooo I don't think he's up to dtd & with the day I've had at work today & not feeling too well would it be ok to bd tommorrow night instead - or would that put us out of the game?:(

Sounds like my hubby! A coupl of time he has put it on for a laugh in the morning just before he left to go to work so he'll know I see it when I come down for breakfast - and hes not even 'doing anything' just winding me up! :rotfl:

Thank God it's not just me then lol. How long do you usually get them before you get a positive?

  • Hi all :)
Hugs to anyone who AF has decided to pay a visit, or anyone who needs one xx

Asked hubby to pick up a couple of preg tests from poundland to take on honeymoon Wednesday as AF is due smack bang in the middle of it. Thought I'd be prepared just incase it's late and would want to check (really don't think it will happen on the first month)!

Anyway, came home from work and hubby said they were in bathroom cabinet so thought I'll have a look, opened the box and there were 3 rubber gloves, 3 plastic pots and 3 tiny, thin strips of cardboard! Never seen them like that before!
I showed OH and he said, go and pee in a pot and try one see if they're any good. So I did and it worked pretty much straight away, (negative of course I'm only 6DPO lol) but was quite impressed in how quick it worked!
Says on packet, can only tell from day after missed period so not good if testing early but 3 for 99p not bad!! Going to pick up a couple of 'proper' ones before we go though, so much easier!

Is it Monday tomorrow already?? Hope everyone is ok! xx
Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference :)

Hubby highlighted that it looks as though our neighbour is pregnant (that or she's eaten too many pies and the weight has gone solely to her stomach).

    I cried.

Oh dear, I have already reached that stage!

    Good morning everyone:wave:
How are the Monday testers and early testers?

We BDd last night (CD10), and afterwards, I put my feet against the wall. DH said, but you are not oving yet?
OK, so I never ov before CD15 but one can hope can't one?:p

Secretdebts, you have to be careful with almost +OPKs, as some people never get +, but only close +. So if you happened to be one of them, then you better BD.
Pistachio, fingers crossed AF won't arrive:o
MrsBryan, poundland ones comes with rubber gloves?
I POAS on those tiny pieces of cardboard:p I have great aim.
Fannyanna, your husband could be wrong though (((hugs))). There was a woman who used to work with DH who looked positively pg, we both agreed she must be, but it turned out she wasn't:o

B-girl -welcome! We can be newbies together! :D

Hope everyone else is well and happy on this Monday morning!

Quick question before I shot off to work - was chatting to my lovely mummy yesterday and she told me that I was conceived in her 2nd month of TTC and my younger sister the 1st month of TTC. Is there likely to be any link for me? I'm sure my book said something about the family/inherited influences but I can't for the life of me find it anywhere! Thanks :D

    Morning all,

Welcom to B-girl - hope you get your BFP soon.

Hugs for Flee and scarly on CD1.

Any more news on you or your Dad tinkwings?

fannyanna I'm getting very jealous when I see pregnant women now - even ones on tv programmes!

Triangle I'm not sure about the family link - my Mum apparently got pregnant very quickly (not sure how quickly), but I'm on month 7 of trying - think it depends on a number of factors - your age, partner's age, diet, medical conditions etc.

First high on CBFM today, so Moon and I are going to hopefully DTD tonight when he's home from work. I sat there hoping the phone would ring this morning for some supply work for me, but still no luck! It's getting frustrating now as this is the third week of term (8 weeks without a pay packet as not paid for summer hols), and I've not had a single booking so far! It's similar to being on the 2ww. lol

On a plus side, I got home from my Nana's on Friday to find that the tax man had given a me a nice big tax rebate as I paid too much last year, so when I pay that in, that should help to tide me over for a little bit. Will do that this morning to make the most of not having any work. I'm pondering whether to walk into town as it'll give me some exercise, but worried I may get a call for work for this afternoon, and then have to rush back (it's 1.5 miles into town = 35 minute walk).

Think Moon is excited about DTD tonight - last night he was very affectionate and also called me "Mummy to be" :)

Hugs to all who need or want them,

    sexymouse xx
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
