Oh my gosh ladies - you are all so chatty at the mo. Not complaining tho - I like it :j:j
Spoke to DH last night and we're good to go for the NTNP :j:j Started folic acid last night again too :T:T
Teamlowe - DH is a 'by the rules' kind of man where as I am more of a rebelSo he wanted to do whatever the molar nurse etc advised us. Hes happy as long as I'm happy and gonna be ok. Its a little daunting thinking about what if it happens again if I'm honest - but surely I must be due some good luck now?! As for the broody question (I know you asked tinkwings, but I'll try n explain from my point of view too) I find myself sooooo much more broody these days. I had DD when I was 24 and whilst I thought I was broody before then - I didn't have a clue. I've been so broody at times that I've just sat and cried for hours (before we were TTC and were waiting) and it literally hurts my heart some days when I get it bad. I never wanted a big gap for a sibling with my DD and she'll be 7 at the earliest now by the time a sibling comes along. She'll never get to go to the same school as a sibling, and activities such as theme parks are going to be awkward, as when DD wants to go on scary rides, the sibling will only be allowed on baby things etc. I think in a way the broodiness is worse because you know what you are aching for. I love my DD so much, and often think I should just be grateful and think she is enough, but it doesn't work like that
I babysat my nephew last night - hes 15 months. I have to say - I did an ace job, lol!! I didn't get on super well with his mum, so have never looked after him before, but my bro has split up with his mum now, so I got to spend some time with him. Was soooo lovely. I thought he might be a bit wary with me, but it was lovely. We played, I made tea, we all ate tea, DD and nephew had a bath together, nephew had a bottle, read them both a story and both fast asleep nicely. I declared myself a natural at having 2 kidsMarried my lobster in July 2011
TTC # 2 since Oct 2011 - good things come to those who wait
 2013 is going to be our lucky year :dance:0 -

Totally depends on what your PCT will pay for. The national guidelines state you should get 3 attempts, but that doesn't seem to be offered in many places.
It differs massively between areas so some people will have access to a lot more than others.
There will also be other limits such as age, previous children, etc.
We've been really lucky so far in that everything has been free, and hopefully will continue to be! The FS has told us he thinks we'll need IVF and there hasn't been any mention of fees so fingers crossed that means we won't be paying! I think the fact that we've got a few diagnosed problems (endometriosis, PCOS and low sperm count) probably 'helps'. Plus we're fortunate to be treated at a centre of excellence that's very popular with private patients so we know we're getting good treatment.
In theory you can find out the local criteria for eligibility from your PCT but it can be a bit needle in haystick trying to get the info.0 -
Thanks Tea Lover xxIf you can think it........it will happen0

This is an out of date article (2009) but gives you an idea of the IVF criteria by local authority. Not sure if there is anything more recently published..

Interesting article there mrsj28, thanks for posting that. Just a note of caution (from experience!!)... don't ever read the comments section on the guardian website if you're feeling a bit sensitive.
There's nothing worse than some ignorant !!!!! going on about how infertility isn't medical and infertile couples should just shut up / adopt babies from africa.0 -
Is the above just for IVF? Surely it doesn't include stuff like Being prescribed clomid?14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130

I think the guardian article refers to IVF and ICSI. I would imagine that different PCTs have different criteria for clomid etc as well though.0
