Interesting article there mrsj28, thanks for posting that. Just a note of caution (from experience!!)... don't ever read the comments section on the guardian website if you're feeling a bit sensitive.
There's nothing worse than some ignorant !!!!! going on about how infertility isn't medical and infertile couples should just shut up / adopt babies from africa.
I couldn't agree more... interestingly those kind of comments never seem to come from people with fertility issues...0 -
I just did some more googling (I know, I know, bad idea usually) and found some very useful info on my local PCT.
I just googled 'Name of local PCT fertility services' and actually found a whole load of PDFs I could download about the services they offer, apparently round here you have to have been ttc for 2 years to get a referral to a fertility specialist.
LilyMay - as tealover said, the article is just for IVF and ICSI.
My local PCT offers 3 cycles of IUI and 2 cycles of IVF as long as you meet all of their criteria.
I'm hoping it's a route we won't have to go down but it was interesting to read up on it and know what the services are. Good to be prepared for a 2 year wait (hopefully not necessary of course!) as I had thought it was a 1 year wait.0 -
...or people that have adopted and know it's a completely different process, that it's really hard work, and that it's definitely not a quick answer to infertility!0

Hi all,
Oh dear, tested this morning ( i know, said I wouldn't) and then full flow AF late morning. Roll on month 5 and PMA.
I vote 8 again for this month and will have a glass of wine for you all tonight to send my good vibes0 -
Hello fellow ttcers.
Sorry about AF getting you good vibes.
Whenever I find out about another pregnancy, I usually don't begrudge the woman the pregnancy, I just feel sad that I'm not there too. Except in the case of one girl I knew who didn't look after the child she had. It seemed very unfair that she got to have another.
I got a positive opk today but my cm is like lotion and not egg white consistency at all. What does that mean?Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Hi all, we've been NTNP since my implant came out three weeks ago but still no sign of AF, had one day of ECWM and FF puts me at OV on the 24th, so probably not PG but when's best to test? Two weeks after the 24th? If AF doesn't appear before, of course. No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Please can I guess 6 bfps this month?
Thanks xx0 -
I would like to predict 8 BFPs for August
Thanks Abis for doing the lists!0 -
Abis - my friend does know we've been ttc and I've prob been scaring her with all my stories and the usual monthly update! lol
She was only married 4 months ago and was not really trying, more NTNP. Im really really happy for her, at least I get to follow her pregnancy (not in a creepy way..i hope!) as we chat most days!
Put me down for 7 BFPs this month please, sounds like a nice reasonable number!
CD2 and I am continuing the CD1/2 trend of enjoying me food - more lemon cake, mm mug of tea and am making a trifle for a party tomorrow. Will go back to my ongoing diet tomorrow - I have set myself a target of 8kg to lose! eek
Was just looking at some sexy dressing gowns and gowns - need to update my undie wardrobe and put some fun back into our sex life methinks! maybe that will propel me to lose some weightWe got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

Hi Gemmzie- 14 days after ov is about right, or the day your AF is due if you know it.
Dont be tempted to do it any earlier! We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.
