doctor google is not my friend! i have spent the last hour wondering if i might have had implantation bleeding rather than a period?

I was charting based on a 28 day cycle and did class day 27 as spotting and day 28 as cd1 so the bleed was on time for my normal period.

Looking at the notes i had ewcm at both 11 and 8 days before cd1 so have no idea when i ovulated. I had thought my period was on time but now i'm not so sure - how i wish this process was easier and without so many questions!!

binkyboo, im no expert on implantation bleeds! but i thought an implantation bleed was usually quite light and tended to happen between 6dpo and 12dpo..?

have you taken note of your previous periods?

dr google has most of us occupied too for a good portion of the 2ww!

fingers crossed, perhaps its breakthrough bleeding? (another thing for you to google, sorry!). If in doubt, take a preg test - only sure way to know..

my period is being funny this month too, spotting on and off, i usually go into full flow. I think spotting at AF time always leads to AF so really wish it would hurry up already so I can go and get an almond croissant and egg and salmon baguette for breakfast!

hope you feel better soon lilymay, feeling rough myself today - is it the weather??
We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic. ;)

Binky - Implantation bleeding is usually really light spotting (not anything like what might be considered a period) and lasts for a very short time. If you have a 28 day cycle you *may* ovulate sometime around CD14 (that is an average though and every woman is different. Some ovulate much earlier or later, like me, but that has it's own set of problems!) In that instance, you might expect implantation bleeding around CD21ish.

My last couple of periods have been a bit random too but I don't think it's anything unusual. Bleeding around the time of AF is, somewhat annoyingly, almost always AF :(

abis - brilliant job with the lists, thank you for doing that :T
mogwai - your breakfast sounds lovely, I'm so hungry today!
mrsj28 - congrats on the EWCM, hope you're making the most of it! :rotfl:
lilymay - hope you're feeling better soon, and hope the meeting with your boss went ok.
teamlowe - lovely work! Is that from the CK book?
COMP & definitelyblonde - hugs for CD1 (well, probably CD2 now)

I have a MASSIVE spot. It's so big I feel like I should get a licence for it or something. Nothing will cover it and I feel like the whole world is wondering !!!!!! is wrong with my face. Am not impressed. Hope this isn't the start of things getting worse on metformin.

I can honestly say I've never Googled symptoms in the 2ww *pats self on back* and would recommend that we all stay away from it for the sake of our sanity! Maybe it should be a thread rule, no looking to Dr Google for answers! :p

Binky, if you think that the bleeding is a little odd then take a test to see if you are PG, if not it'll just be an odd light month. Annoying, but our bodies are here to drive us crazy, not to do as we want! ;)

Don't talk about nice breakfast treats Mogwai, I'm starving! :o Need to be good though as I've done my weekly weigh-in and put 2lb back on :( I deserve it though, ate like a pig all weekend and was supposed to have something light for dinner last night but on my way to the fruit and veg section I saw a lovely steak in the reduced fridge for £1.64 so had that instead! Sometimes cooking for 1 every night has its advantages, OH has no idea what treats he's missing out on! :p
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

thanks lilymay I think you are probably right and it's wishful thinking on my part, just another odd symptom to spot! If i can make it to a shop i may buy a test just to put my mind at rest and then concentrate on the rest of the month.

well to tinkwings and lemon melon and anyone else who wished me a short stay here, you may have just had your wish granted.
I took a tesco hpt not with fmu and i can see ..... two lines!!!
Thinking over the last couple of days i only really had one wipe of red blood sunday morning and the rest has been brown.
This morning so far i have just had really small amounts of watery brown when i wipe so not sure what to think really, i'm a bit surprised to say the least!
Guess i just wait now and see if it stops or gets worse.
