Morning all. Hope people have got plans for a better Sunday than me.

Still tender from op but getting better each day. Plan to go back to work tomorrow.

OH hasn't felt well all week (although I have been more concerned about me!) He went to GP on Friday & got diagnosed with a chest infection. Then spots started coming - it seems he has Chicken Pox! Bless him, he's feeling rough.

This may be contraversial & isn't aimed at anyone in particular, but for those who have rows with OH which mean they miss the whole ovualtion window, is your relationship right?

Don't get me wrong, I could wring OH's neck sometimes & we can easily miss the window because we can't be bothered/ I don't tell him we 'need' to BD, but we don't fall out & miss the opportunity.

If the rows are as a consequence of frustration about something they have done which prevents BDing during ov, is it worth having that discussion at the start of the cycle & agreeing a plan?

I have been annoyed in the past when I have found out OH was working away at ov, but when I thought about it, he wasn't doing it on purpose & had no idea why I was annoyed.

Once I explained when I needed him, we tried to work out how we could plan to be together.

Anyway, hope ladies take this in the way it's meant & there is plenty of BDing going on today (none in our house)!

How long is your luteal phase normally? Id say that was when your period was due and test that day.

No idea how long luteal phase is normally as this was first month i used opk. Does it matter how long it is? What does it mean if its longer than 14 days?

Can I hopefully add boring dreams to my going to ovulate at some point symptom spotting? The other night it was arguing over a refund for accidentally buying a ticket to Crewe for £74 and last night it was buying washing powder x

Are you immune to chicken pox?

I've had it - although it seems you can get it more than once. At least I know I'm not pg!

Spontaneous? Forgotten what that is! :rotfl:Only kidding, I do make a bit of an effort for non-ov BDing (although not when he has the pox).

TTC40 - I know you mean well, but I think its reaching a bit to question a couples relationship based on this. Rows happen anytime, and I think the added stress around ov time of trying to make sure you BD at the right time despite being tired/not in the mood etc contributes to it.

For e.g not being upfront with your OH about when you need to BD and missing the opportunity cos of that might be seen as a sign that your relationship isnt right, thats why its best not to judge on these things..

I spoke too soon, cd1 for me and the witch is here with a vengence!
I thought this was gonna be our month I really did :( I'm so dissappointed. I can't believe we have been trying for a whole year, last June we were so excited and hopeful, now I just feel rubbish, why hasn't this worked for us?
I guess we are off to the doctors for a chat, I'm scared, I don't know what to expect, or if we will be taken seriously.
Off to find a hot water bottle and some chocolate.
If at first you dont succeed, try, try again
