Wow, Lilymay, that cake looks awesome
Loving your motorhome Abis, DH and I would love one, just can't afford it (borrow my parents caravan instead, much more:money:!!)
Yay for Mr TeamLowe for time off.

I told DH yesterday as soon as I'd done the first test - rang him in a panic!! Then went off on a mission to find a digi - rang him after that...not very imaginative!!! Both in total shock, not sunk in at all!!!

In a bit of a dilema - our families know (and 2 friends) we're at the clininc on Tues ready to start IVF this cycle! Not sure what to say if they ask how the treatment is going?

    SBDTA xxxx
    It can happen!!!

    Morning all.

Feeling really flat again today. These mood swings are becoming unbearable. My temp has gone down and i've still got loads of EWCM. CBFM says 'low' though but there are 2 very visible lines on the stick. I just don't get it. What am I doing wrong? Why doesn't my body work anymore.

Aida - I don't have a normal waking time. Sometimes I have to get up at 3am, other times it'll be 5am, 6am or 9am. If i'm really unlucky i will need to be up all night. Annoying but I can't do anything about it.

QQ - I was really proud of that cake. It took me AGES. SIL was happy though. My kitchen is only 6 months old although it's not been immacuately clean since we fitted it!

Flee - Big hugs chicken. Enjoy that treadmill! The paving for my driveway is arriving today but that's not quite as exciting particularly in this weather.

QQ - So excited about your app on Monday :) fingers crossed

euronorris - guess that was bound to happen... doesn't it always!

YEP! Luckily for me, most shops were handing out free (small) glasses of wine as you entered which helped to both cheer me up, and ease the cramps.

I also bought a new bag, and some Wind Walkers by Birkenstock (same as Birkenstocks basically, but half the price). Both were reduced to €15 each as well, thanks to the special shopping night (everywhere had a discount, offer or free gift of some kind). And I took part in a silent disco in the 70's area of the town! hehehehe It was great fun. They had people dressed up, girls on rollerskates, people dressed up as historical figures from the town, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's & 00's themed areas, a big ballroom dancing area set up in the market square etc. I had a fantastic time!

QQ - great news that IVF going to plan so far.... best of luck for the appointment on Monday! I did a test this morning (I have no idea why...... clearly I won't be pregnant!) and obviously BFN.

Think I might be in for one of those annoying long cycles again. Am going to the doc this afternoon to talk about getting checked for PCOS. Does anybody have any tips about how to approach that one? Just go in and blurt out 'TEST ME' or be a bit more subtle...? (I very rarely go to the doc so am a bit nervous!!)

Flee - huge ((hugs)) for CD1. Hope the new treadmill is good!

Claire16c - glad lunaception is working for you. I'm going to start it as soon as AF arrives. Have you been watching Neighbours (stupid question I think :rotfl:) Can't believe Sonya is pregnant before me!!!! We've been trying for the same amount of time so it is DEFINITELY my turn next :D

LilyMay - ((hugs)) for mood swings. Have you considered taking one cycle as a break from the technical ins and outs of ttc? i.e. just BDing lots (it seems you and DH manage that ;):o) ) and not using OPKs or temping. I'm not saying it will get you pregnant but it might help you to not be too stressed out? If you are BDing every day (or even every couple of days) then you won't miss OV when it happens. In any case, sending lots of ((hugs)) and hope you feel better soon. The cake looks amazing!

Abis - I LOVE your jubilee motor home! Show us the pic of DD!

And big hugs to anybody else in need xxx

Not at all TTC related (apart from the stress!) but I am fuming :mad:

I was supposed to have my first consultation meeting about the relocation at 11am and my boss has just cancelled it as he's "too busy". Everyone else that's moving (over 50 people) has had their meeting now apart from me. My boss wasn't even attending, only calling in from another site as he couldn't be bothered to turn up.

Now he's handed in notice in he's even c.rapper as a manager!

They announced this move in January and HR and my manager still haven't spoken to me about it and it's June!

Sorry for the rant, the whole thing is just really getting to me. I desperately need to find another job but I can't do that if there's a chance that I could get pg. Am fed up with it all today :(

BIG ((hugs)) tealover that sounds very stressful :( Can you speak to HR about it or are they as useless as your manager? I can totally relate to the wanting to find another job but not wanting to in case you get pg. Feel free to rant on here whenever, hope it helps a little bit.

Have you got any nice weekend plans? Can you plan something relaxing?

    Oh yes, absolutely as useless.

Ah well... guess it's not that important in the grand scheme of things. Had better buy a euromillions ticket on the way home today.

big hugs to TeaLover, it's so hard when the people above you are useless.

Can't remember who asked but when i got tested for PCOS i just went in and said 'these are my symptoms, what do you think is wrong'. was rather amusing because i said i hadn't had a period for six months and he just kept going 'and you're sure you're not pregnant?' lol
is there anything else that's making you think it might be that? i think it's so common they're happy enough to test for it, initial test is a blood one anyway, but it would be more persuasive if you also had extra hair, spotty skin and weight issues. i also mentioned that PCOS runs in my family, so maybe you could tell a white lie on that front. Good Luck! hope they test you and it's negative/easy to fix for you.

i think i cursed myself saying i was hoping for a good clear out this period, it's been so heavy! just makes you feel miserable and uncomfortable, can't wait to get home tonight and get my pyjama pants on.
went to morrison's this morning on my way to work. you know when the things you buy are too light and the machine doesn't recognise it and the assistant has to come over? thank lord it was a lady, i had tampons, paracetamol, ibuprofen and chocolate. she gave me a very sympathetic look :rotfl:

Hubby is off today so has opened a nationwide 'save to buy' account, i'm sadly excited by that as it feels like we're getting somewhere. oh and whilst he can come with me he's not asked for the time off yet and isn't bothered about doing because 'you only need one weeks notice' so is going to wait til then. so i'll have to nag him very hard, he's terrible for things like that lol x x

Thanks Team Lowe, that's really helpful - it was me who asked about the PCOS appointment. I have plenty of extra body hair (gross) and I do get spots quite often, and longish cycles, so hopefully they'll refer me to be tested.

((hugs)) for your horrible AF - and for the experience at the self service tills! The 'save to buy' account is exciting and it's really nice to have something to save up for (like a house!)

On the excess body hair note (again, gross..) I have just bought a voucher on groupon for laser hair removal! It was a real bargain, AND you can't have it done if you are pregnant, so I'm hoping that fate is listening.. :D

Well, after whinging about long cycles, it turns out that today is CD1 for me! This is the first time since ttc I've been pleased to see AF, because it means last month's cycle was only 31 days! :j Ready for the new cycle now after taking a break last month. My plan of action this month is:

    1. Get tested for PCOS
    2. Eat healthy - low carb and sugar, high protein.
    3. Give lunaception a go

I'm in two minds about whether to temp or not, as it means ttc is the first thing I think about when I wake up! But, it does mean I know when (if) I OV which is very helpful. We'll see. I might just temp from e.g. CD8 until just after OV.

It's Friday! Hope everybody has nice plans for the weekend xx
