sorry to hear it's not happening this month QQ but glad you've got a shot next month :)

this lunaception thing sounds more and more promising, i might try it when we're properly trying in september, that'll give you girls more time to research it for me  lol

had a massive temp dip monday night but was sleeping under a throw and not my quilt so that would explain that, then it's low this morning even though i thought i'd be rather hot due to my furnace like hubby. ladies are a little sore so i'm hoping it's Ov as i did take soy isoflavones 100mg for 5 days but not holding my breath as i'm proabbly SSing lol

Went watching Avengers Assemble last night and now i have a massive crush on Thor. don't think hubby appreciated my ramblings on the subject though, especially when he said 'so you'd like it i got big and muscly like him' and i said 'yeah, but you'd never be as big as him' :rotfl:only cos he's not as tall! lol x x

Feeling really deflated knowing that I'll have to wait another 30-odd days to try again, why is it just not happening for us? :( Seems so unfair that we've waited until we got married, have decent jobs, have childcare sorted etc and we're getting nowhere yet there are kids getting knocked up every day by accident! :(

It will happen for us soon (((hugs))).

will you have to cancel the work trip? It will be worth it! Sending huge ((hugs))
Yes, and I think I've done it.
    Not 100% sure yet, but I think it's done:cool:

I don't want to talk about my job here, but it was a hard decision (made in 2 seconds:p), and probably will cause a massive disappointment when the client realises I didn't come, but never mind:cool:

My replacement is nearly half my age, but is extremely competent:cool:

Don't think I need to do it this cycle though, as all my hormones will be artificial ones:o
so i'm hoping it's Ov as i did take soy isoflavones 100mg for 5 days but not holding my breath as i'm proabbly SSing lol
It's fine to SS for ov:cool:

QQ - Sorry to hear that :( but as TeamLowe said - good luck for next cycle! You sounds very upbeat and positive :)

Team Lowe - I went to see American Pie: Reunion last night (wanted to see Avengers but it wasn't on until late and my mum was looking after DS). It made me feel very old and very nostalgic! Not in my wildest dreams would I ever have expected my life to end up how it has :o

*If* I have just ov'ed, will the fact it will give me a short LP make any difference to the chances of getting pg this cycle? I suppose all my previous cycles had been 31 days, so ov'ing on CD 19/20 isn't so bad?

QQ - I've just noticed you've put me back at 1DPO! Noooo! I want to be 10 DPO again! :rotfl::rotfl:

Particularly frustrated today... had my follow up appt at docs following the ultrasound scan for PCOS a couple of weeks ago...

Doc asked me how I was, I said reasonably well, still not pg, suffering really badly from acne and skin breakouts which is distressing but at least I know its because of the PCOS... and she looked shocked and said but you dont have it!!! I told her that when I'd had the scan done, the doc at the clinic told me that I had the ovaries of a classic pcos sufferer and he told me that I shouldnt worry too much as there are plenty of other pcos'ers out there who have got pregnant so I still had a chance.
Plus so many other symptoms point to it...
On her screen, the results said 'globular ovaries - no follicles - check hormonal blood - which she took to mean that I didnt have any cysts on them at all and I have already had my hormonal blood test and it came back normal!!

Now I have no idea what is going on and feel like im back to square one - she has given me some meds for my acne and finally referred me to the fertility specialist but I guess that could take a while.... I really strongly believe I have got PCOS but I have absolutely no solid proof of it now so I dont know what to do - will the FS be able to give me an answer?? I was hoping that the doc would be able to put me on Metformin as that seemed like the answer to all my problems but now I'm just in complete limbo and just want to scream!!!

squ1rrel5 that happened to me, when I had the scan they said it was PCOS but when I went back was told I didn't have it. Due to other things that were found (can't remember all the details spaced out) I was told that it would be almost impossible for me to conceive naturally.

My ovaries were entangled in what looked like a pearl necklace.

I have to say I think they were wrong on both counts. I have conceived naturally twice now (and hopefully this time will come home with a baby) and still have the classic signs of PCOS.

Doctors aren't always right but hopefully the FS will be able to give you a clearer picture and clear up what is actually going on.

Squirrel, sorry to hear you're having such a hard time, is it a gp you're seeing or a gynae?

I've had no luck with GPs with mine, only the gynae knew what he was talking about. he told me that PCOS is such a grey area and that basically, if you have 3 of the 5 symptoms you have it.
    they are
    1) ovarian cysts
    2) bad skin
    3) hirsuitism (there's some good diagrams if you google it of the typical places)
    4) gaining weight easily and finding it hard to lose
    5) irregular or absent periods

i had no cysts and my hormone levels were 'normal' when checked by the doctor, but i had 234 and 5 so PCOS it is :o

i don't know what qualifications a FS would have, but i'm sure they'll be able to advise you well, if not then i'd ask for a gynae referral

also, metformin is not licensed for use to treat PCOS so very few GPs would perscribe it, i only get mine cos the gynae said so, and i've had to be re referred to the consultant about the fact that it doesn't seem to be working anymore cos there was no way it would have been increased/changed without their say so

I know I haven't posted in a while but I feel like I've just been hit by a truck......

Just got a text from my best friend announcing her pregnancy. Whilst I am happy for her I just want to cry (but I can't because I'm at my desk at work).
