Fannyanna - don't worry, that's what we are here for! Have to say, if your friend knew you were trying and it was taking some time I'd be a bit miffed by a text. I think if I was the friend I'dve minimum done a phone call.

Thanks ladies. It's nice to know others understand how I feel.

She would have been pregnant when I saw her last and I'm convinced she knew then so I guess I feel a little betrayed that she didn't tell me then.

But when I can clear my head to think logically for a few minutes I know she hasn't done anything wrong. Plus I would be upset even more if she knew how I feel. She can't win bless her lol.

I had the same situation as you, but from your friends point of view.

I knew she had been trying for a 2nd baby, she knew we were trying again after our termination. We were both in the awkward stand point that whoever got pregnant first had to tell the other. We are good friends and have been for over 10 years but only see each other once every few months, I played chicken and left it until our 13 week scan to know that we had the all clear, in the hope that in the mean time she would get pregnant and I wouldnt be causing her any hurt if my pregnancy couldnt continue.

I told her via fb message in the end, I knew she wasnt pregnant as we had been back and forth chatting. She congratulated me but i know it must have stung. She still isnt pregnant and has been trying for nearly 12 months, Ive have now been pregnant twice in that time

I cant imagine how she feels but she is certainly happy for us and doesnt begrudge us getting there first, she would just like to be there with us too.

Anyway fannyanna, friends are friends for a reason - we share the good and the bad times but you cant help how you feel, try not to feel bad :kisses3:

Spotting this morning so it looks like AF is on the way. Feeling really deflated knowing that I'll have to wait another 30-odd days to try again, why is it just not happening for us? Our room is fairly bright though so the natural light coming through the curtains might do.

I didnt use a light, just the natural light (and the usually annoying street light near our house!) I figured the contrast between the pitch black of wearing an eyemask and that would be enough. There is no way I could sleep with a light on!

*If* I have just ov'ed, will the fact it will give me a short LP make any difference to the chances of getting pg this cycle? I suppose all my previous cycles had been 31 days, so ov'ing on CD 19/20 isn't so bad?

If you usually have a cycle of 31 days, then ov on day 19/20 is fine as it would give you a luteal phase of 10-11 days.
i think 10-16 is normal. From what Ive read, womens ovulation can tend to differ each month, but their luteal phase tends to stay within a couple of days consistantly. This is certainly true for me.


So if you ov on day 12, then you could expect to get AF 10-11 days or so later. Edit - I just looked at your chart and i think because you havent taken your temp at the same time each day it makes it a little harder to interpret, but you did get a +opk, and your temp has gone up after so perahps day 19 will be right!

i want to see American Pie for the same reasons! To remember being a teenager again :rotfl:

fannyanna i know how you feel, my friend got married last month and thought she was pregnant as she was a few days late, I was really happy for her, but stinging inside a little too. I felt sooo guilty for that.

Also my sister-in-law has told me she is trying too and she is so much younger than me, she will prob get pregnant straight away :S

Am going for my acupuncture appt on friday can't wait. In the meantime Im keeping up the supplements and going to look into the fertility massage - anyone have any experience with this??

Feeling a bit better now, after all, I want the baby to have the best chance since I only have one frozen egg.

I had a mc before, so who knows, there might have been a progesterone problem before. It is better to sort it now:)

One month will be nothing compared to the three years I've been TTC.

If I mc again, I might try another IVF though, this is addictive:p

Q you are amazingly brave and an inspiration to all of us. I think there will be a meltdown on MSE when you get your BFP, and the site will crash with people coming out of hiding from all over the place wanting to wish you congratulations :T

As for me..nah haven't started ttc yet. I'm wanting to hold off for a couple more months for various reasons. Some silly like wanting a Spring or Summer baby this time (but hey...a baby anytime is a gift!), but also because I have only just started my new job and they have been so good about flexible working, I feel bad about potentially having to tell them I'm preggo again so soon.

Besides which, I need to have been there a year for maternity, and I only started in February so I can't really get preg before then...mind you that means from now I could in theory.....:cool:

I also worry that our maisonette isn't really big enough for 2 kids, but again if everyone worried about the what if's and but's, there'd probably be no human race left! :rotfl:

I want us to get cracking in the next couple of months though. I'll be 40 next year :eek: HTF did that happen????
