Claire, if you don't ovulate during the light days, you just go back to wearing the mask, as they say. Some ladies were trying a second session of light after 4-5 days of drak...so that can be an option.

In regards of the type of light I've used, I would recommend to get a desk lamp as you can move the head of the lamp to light towards you. Also try to stay outdoors as long as you can (min 30 minutes) during those days. I was lucky as last time when I had introduce light, it was during that lovely sunny week. Also, start introducing the light on day 14 and not sooner. Good luck and I will keep my eyes on you.

PS: as QQ said, try to eat low GI food and also reduce your sugar intake before you OV. It might help.

Thanks, thats a good idea to perhaps go back to the mask for a few days and then try the light again if it didnt work but fingers crossed it does. ive worn the mask since CD1, I think it keeps slipping up a bit in the night, but, I figure if it stays on for a few hours its better than nothing. its weird cos its tight and makes marks on the side of my face though! Im also trying to do the GI thing although thats not going 100% to plan lol

It was our 1st anniversary yesterday, and hubby planned a suprise meal which he cooked himself, wore his wedding outfit and got mine out too (not my wedding dress just a 2nd dress I wore in the evening!) and made a huge and very complicated cake - probably the 1st hed made in his life. So lots of sugar yesterday!

    Hello, sorry I'm late:wave:

I've been to the FS, and the hormones are fine, so it's a go for the egg transfer for the moment:j
Obviously it can get cancelled at any point between now and the transfer date (5DPO):o

They've decided to make me ov without any medication, so must look for that eye mask for the lunar conception thingy:cool:
Otherwise I may not ov until June:shocked:

claire, I'm not doing hard core sugar cutting:p Just avoiding cakes and biscuits:o

Oh I feel better now, I was going a bit mad checking packets of everything! Seems like it would be easier to just do that.

fingers and toes crossed for you!
    Loulou- hugs
Claire16c - why the cutting out sugar? So not up on all these things and honestly don't have a clue!

May possibly help with ovulation. As i have long cycles - something to do with blood sugar levels and ovulation hormones - I figure its worth a shot!

Hugs Vesper. I feel like a bit of a phoney on this thread when I see how long some of you have been TTC :(

I heard on the news today about a couple who were wrongly accused of murdering their 4 month old baby. They had their second child later on that year and apparently the little girl was taken from the mother in the delivery room. So sad :(

  • Birdie - Lady Gaga concert sounds fab, I think she'd be amazing live, and good way to tempt fate.
Zcrat - good luck with the healthy eating. Not sure I could have reflexology, got a thing about feet, think it would make me feel ill!
TeamLowe - your weekend sounds great, have a good one
TeaLover - good news about the bursary and good idea to concentrate on work. Have been thinking that myself recently that work's been going well so maybe I should put some more energies into that.
Lilymay - sorry to hear about OH
Tinkwing - love the FB page!
Claire16c - sounds like you had a lovely anniversary.

AFM - I've no idea when or if have ov'd this month. I've had a couple of occasions when i thought it might have been, once quite early before I started the OPK's and once more recently but with negative OPK's. What's the earliest someone would generally ov? Think I'll put the OPK's away till next month and just see what happens.
    Have a good weekend all

I'd like to know that too. Is it possible while you're still bleeding? As in, CD3/4/5?

Claire16c Yourhubby sounds rather romantic - that's a lovely thing to have done. You're not really Kate Middleton are you? Wasn't her anniversary this weekend ;-)

Can't help Lilymay I'm afraid. I know it has been mentioned on this thread before but I can't think what the reply was.

I went for reflexology last night - Amazing - I've just had the best night sleep ever. For the first 10 minutes I was thinking well this is a bit boring and not achieving anything. 50 minutes later I woke up very relaxed and refreshed. She said she could pick up on my neck and shoulders, could tell I'd had a tooth taken out (I hadn't told her) and that I was probably coming up to AF ( I hadn't told her that either). She said she worked on the stress in my shoulders and linked it to my ovaries. I'm was quite sceptical before I went, thought it would be more for relaxation but I'm begining to think there's something in it. She recommends you go around ov to her so I'm going back in May. She's treating 4 other ladies ttc so hopefully she'll have some success!

What's everyone up to this weekend? It's lovely here today.

  • Morning and happy weekend everyone, well i am officialy 1 day late now based on longest cycle or 4 days on shortest....pg test still bfn so really don't think i am in this month, looks like we will be trying for a 2013 baby now. I am just at a loss, no af symptoms i usually get but my word i am so shattered-i was on bed just after 9 last night and could very easily go back to bed now.

No sure what to think or do now,pg tests were the little green dipstick ones. I will just have to wait to out, hoping af turns up soon (or pref a bfp) so we can get trying again.

Some lovely plans for the weekend i see, hope everyone has a fab one. Not sure what we will do today....but tomorrow morning i am baking a lemon drizzle cake, coffee and walnut cup cakes, twinks hob nob's and millionaires shortbread for my dad's birthday party in the afternoon. Have a great day all.xx

Well I thought by now I should be on CD2 but AF hasn't properly arrived yet! Just a tiny bit of spotting which I dont normally get. Not sure what is happening with my body this month. Still feel a little queasy, still have sore breasts. I did a test which was negative. I suppose I will just have to be patient and wait and see. Thank you all for your support. X

I was in the same mind-if i am busy i won't dwell on things.

When i bake, i BAKE if that makes sense-i tend to go wild in the kitchen and just do it. I do get all the ingredients out and weighed etc in seperate bowls so i can just chuck it all together so plan to do that for the 4 things whilst the oven is heating up. The lemon drizzle cake is actually done in the blender which will be on whilst i whip up some cupcakes, the hob nobs only take 25 mins from start to finish....never made the millionaires shortbread before so think that may take a little longer. I have worked out i can get the lemon in a loaf tin in with the cupcakes all on one shelf then the hob nobs underneath then once they are done in goes the shortbread, well hopefully you know best laid plans and all that!!....and i get a lie in tomorrow (hubby has saturday and i have sunday :T) Fingers crossed it'll be ok.

Sorry.....you didn't ask for the ins and outs did you....i think its the lack of adult or indeed any conversation for a saturday morning....kids are guled to the wonder pets!!
