    Nice bit of tempting fate...

I've just been accepted for a bursary for a course in November. I applied a while ago during a (v brief) moment of thinking I should sort my job out. I'd forgotten all about applying tbh.

I know that I can can't force a baby. We're doing everything we can, and we're seeing the FS in just over a week.

So instead, I'm really going to try and sort work out. There's no excuse for this being out of my control! I don't know if I'll have a job by the end of the year following the relocation so it won't hurt to have something else to put on my CV.

No idea how many applied for the bursary but am going to tell myself it was thousands to make me feel better! :D

One of my lovely lovely friends just came round to tell me she is pregnant with her second - I'm so pleased for her, and she was really sensitive about it as she knows we are trying. She is nearly 40 and got pregnant (both times) on her first try!

There is a very small part of me that is a tiny bit jealous, but I promise I am mostly very very happy for her. Doesn't stop me from feeling a bit teary though :(

Very quickly ladies, if the line on my ov stick is darker than yestersay, but still not as dark as the control line does that mean im heading towards ov?
Test done at same time of day, and wee wee is concentrated.

tealover - that's brilliant news about the bursary! :j I think it's a really good idea to sort out work - as you say you are doing everything you can with ttc and it's good to focus on something else to take your mind off it sometimes.

Note to self: take own advice...!

lilymay - sorry I can't answer the OPK question, I'm not 100% sure if the lines get darker as you head towards OV, but I'm sure there will be a lovely lady on this forum that does know! ((hugs)) to your DH, hope there will be a much better job just around the corner for him.

tinks - love your facebook page, you are so talented. When I have my own baby (when, not if... keeping positive today...) I would like to order some of your name bunting :)

thinking of you lots today tinks. i know when it was our angel's anniversary getting away for the weekend really helped, is that an option? maybe a drive out to a national park for a couple of hours even, properly away from normal life x x

gawwwwwd i want to eat everything in sight! luckily these progesterone tablets are ony for five days, otherwise i'd get so big you'd have to roll me! :rotfl:

it's my first wedding anniversary tomorrow, and we're saying 'sod it' to the money for once, not very :money: i know. staying in the thistle in manchester, going to go to grill on the alley and then for cocktails.
oh, there is one mse part, DH gets 20% off the meal but had to get the table for like six, which surely means i can have 20% more cocktails and be asleep by midnight :)
found a tiki bar called the liars club which looks amaaazing, will have to drag him there :)
got a whole new outfit but wearing my wedding corset and garter, although i've lost the knickers lol tried the corset on last night, forgot how tight it is! got some killer heels too but don't usually wear heels so some of the night might be spent with me hobbling and him annoyed that i can't keep up lol he's got me a nice handbag from next and i got him some motor repair books. boring but he loves them and at least i stayed on theme :p

love to you all, apologies for the very self involved paragraph but i'm well excited and think we deserve a great weekend for getting through a hard year :) x x
