Great News QQ fingers crossed xxxxx
If you can think it........it will happen
  • Hi ladies, hope you've all had good days!

Lilymay - I'd probably opt for the trying straight away, you never know what will happen! :p
Skint- hugs to you and your friend x x
    Loulou- hugs
Claire16c - why the cutting out sugar? So not up on all these things and honestly don't have a clue!
!Tea lover - 34 isn't old for first child! Average age is 29, but most seem to for 18 or mid thirties which gives that as an average!
Euronorris - I've just turned 30 and it wasn't as bad as I thought despite not having done most things I wanted to by this age!
QQ - glad it went well today!:j

You are the 3rd person I know to have found out they're having a boy today! Congratulations.

QQ - So pleased for you. Good luck ovulating ;)

Re: TTC and jobs. Thank you all for the advice. I feel the same way as most of you and we will be continuing TTC (yay) I'm getting quite desperate now and contemplated making an appointment with my GP to chat about things. OH made several good points though 1) I'm 25 2) I had a baby 6 months ago and 3) I have been pregnant 3 times in the last 3 years so the chances of a GP doing anything for me at zilch.

And now I've got a mental image of MV crossing her eyes - :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you MrsJ! - I tried to find out on good old google, but nowhere was clear.

Kittenpie just posted on the m/c support thread and I feel so 5h1t for her. It's brought it all back for me. I just want to give her a big hug :(

So sad, when her baby arrives it will be so special.

    Congrats,

AFM managed to BD on the day of the smiley OPK and the day after (without the help of the house guest!). Not really sure there was much point due to blocked tubes but as there could be a chance, I thought we should go for it.

Hugs to everyone going through a tough time.

Just delurking for a bit... been taking a while to catch up!! Congratulations to the two recent BFP's - really pleased for you :j

I've been on a PCOS friendly diet for a week. thank you to TeamLowe for suggesting the GI/GL diet - I'm not strictly following that but it gave me a few ideas (mainly to cut down on carbs and sugar etc, pretty obvious really but a MASSIVE change for me). Its been quite good so far and actually enjoying it. I sneaked a bit of chocolate in today (bad day in work) but to be honest I've not really missed it at all!!
I've done so many different diets over the years that have never really worked - but i feel in such a different mindset at the moment I might actually stick to it. It definitely makes a difference being told that your diet could affect your chances of having a baby...has really hit home now! :)

hey ladies, I'm back after working 2 13 hour shifts  sooo tired

I think AF will be making an appearance soon, getting some tummy pains.

I want to try soy but I want to wait till cd1 to buy it, just in case :p

where do you buy yours from? If AF arrives in the next day or two it will be the weekend and by the time it arrives it might be too late to start taking it. I've had a look on the Holland and Barrett web site but their soy is 750mg, if I bought the H&B ones could I empty some of the capsules? they are so expensive!

skintchick - hope you friend is doing ok
tinkwings- have you got a website/fb page? what other prints do you have available?
lilymay1- I suffer really bad with period paid also
    QQ- thats fab news hun!:D

regarding the age thing, I guess it depends where in the country you live, I'm 29 and I feel like I'm getting on a bit to be having babies. I don't feel 29 though

On the age thing, my MIL had my OH when she was 37, but she had also had a child when she was 17. Hubbie never felt like he had old parents except when it came to playing footie with his dad, but as his dad was with the merchant navy and was away all the time anyway it wouldn't have made the slightest of difference. My mum had me when she was 29, and I felt like I had an older parent amongst my group of friends. So I don't think personally there is a right age.
I'm 27, and feel the perfect age. Amongst my friends, they have only just started having babies, I so don't feel older. But in terms of my village I am an older mum at my age! They are all around 21/22. OH is 35 and does feel in his opinion he will be an older dad, but on the other hand he feels mature enough now to not just be a father, but a dad. If you know what I mean. If it had been a few years ago I don't think he would have been mature enough to be like that.

Did realise though that some people ought to be prevented from having children. There was a group of 5 teenmums in KFC earlier, they were swearing at their kids and throwing things at the people behind the counter. Over all they didn't even care, and didn't even notice when one of the kids ran out of the door into the main street outside. I can't even express in words how obnoxious they were (and that was the so called parents!) It makes me sad that people can be like that and then there are people out there that would make the best loving parents that are struggling to conceive.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

    Hi all,

Just a quick check in to say fingers crossed QQ! I am sure everyone is wishing you absolutely all the best.

For me - CD2. Meh.. sick of all this stress, so I am having wine and cheesecake. I have some good pma ideas but maybe will put them together properly in the next few days. Tonight I'm focussing on wine!

Anyway, as this is an MSE site, I thought I would also mention that I was listening to BBC London the other day and they mentioned that Asda was doing a free promotion for Folic acid. I have finally managed to find a link for it.

    http://your.asda.com/news-and-blogs/asda-pharmacies-to-offer-free-folic-acid-for-pregnant-women

They said to just go in and talk to the people in the health food section, so a good MSE tip!

(took me ages to find this link, as I thought it was Aldi!)
