Public warning, public warning, stay away from me today otherwise you will be drowned in tears. Hormones in overdrive today, cried in Home Bargains as there was a baby crying.

Now been sat blubbing for 2 hours. Found out earlier that one of my close friends from the Sports Club that I work at has died. He was 67 and in extremely bad health but it wasn't expected so soon. So I'm in a bit of shock right now and all I want to do is go to my work place and have a few drinks with the other customers (his and my friends) but my collegue has shut up early. So am having a cheapy bottle of beer at home instead.

Sorry it's not ttc related. But to make it so, can I predict 8. I would like to predict everyone, but the chances of that are very small unfortunatly.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

I know there was some discussion the other day about accupuncture prices. I have just spoken to a practitioner & the cost is £35 for first session & £30 for subsequent. Each one is about 40 mins. I'm in Yorkshire.

He has recommended them weekly (although was quite honest about conflicting opinion about whether or not it helps). He said he used it on his partner when TTC as they had difficulties. I said I was a bit over the hill at 40 - he said he had successfully treated a 42 year old (obviously my PMA means I believe everything he tells me).

I'm in Westfield Health so can claim 75% back - so the cost isn't really an issue to me, but it isn't a cheap option. He said that you would need to try it for a few cycles to give it a fair go.

That said, it's easier & cheaper than other TTC if it achieves success.

  • Thanks for the welcome.
Thanks for advice re:OPK's, I didn't realise they should be done twice a day but makes sense. I got one positive on my last cycle and couldn't fathom out completely when I'd ov'd apart from confirming that it's later in the cycle.

Hi, does anyone know why you are supposed to subtract from your temperature if you wake up late?

I have been charting my BBT since January. On week ends, I sleep the same number of hours but I go to bed later and hence wake up later.

Is BBT dependent on the number of hours slept or the time I wake up?

    So confused!

    Hello again ladies,

I have been trying to read a few earlier pages to gain more understanding of the abbreviations & some background info. (Not getting very far tbh, most definitely got out of bed on the wrong side today :( have been snapping at OH & family, tired & irritable basically.)

I hope no-one minds but I have a few questions?

AF was due last Sunday- what cycle day does that make me now?

I have some Clearblue OPK do you use them daily? I think I also remember someone saying they use them morning & afternoon?

    Many thanks in advance
Off to bed soon with a hot choc & maybe a comedy dvd to cheer myself up emylou x
