Hi everyone,
I have lurked on this forum for a while now but have decided to join for support & advice if that's ok?
I am 32 years old, hae been ttc since october 2011 (I have a genetic heart condition & was seen by consultant in Oct who gave me the full risks involved etc). Previously I had been taking the pill for about 15years!
I am still tryin to get to grips with the abbreviations but basically AF was due last Sunday (25th March) although I have had no pg symptoms I let my hopes get the better of me & did a pg test last night it was a BFN
I am thinking maybe this was my 1st "period" without the pill? Any other ideas?Married my wonderful husband February 2013!:happyhearI want to wear my beautiful wedding dress everyday- it would make shopping so much more fun, I mean, people go shopping in their pyjamas these days.......Must STOP spending!!!Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -

Hi, thanks for the welcome
I have had an af every month since stopping the pill in October but this month I haven't had one.Married my wonderful husband February 2013!:happyhearI want to wear my beautiful wedding dress everyday- it would make shopping so much more fun, I mean, people go shopping in their pyjamas these days.......Must STOP spending!!!Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -

Massive hugs tinksWanna be cycle buddies this time?
Welcome emylou, hope your stay here will be short and sweet. I came off the pill at the end of October, had two 'normal' cycles of 30 and 31 days and then had a 48 day cycle  and the most recent one was 36 days. I think it can take a while for your body to adjust and sometimes ovulation can be delayed by stress or illness which in turn means AF arrives later. Do you know when you ovulated? I have started taking my temperature this month which is really helpful as I can pinpoint when I ovulated. If that all sounds like gibberish have a look on https://www.fertilityfriend.com which is a really useful site for temping/charting - lots of us on here use it.
Just had a totally stereotypical menstrual woman experience... went to to the shops as I need some new work shoes. Love the M & S cheapy £15 black patent court shoes so went to out of town shopping place. None in my size. Cue stress levels rising. Head to the till to pay for the pair of tights and pack of Easter cards I've picked up along the way, only to be forced to walk through all the baby clothes. Miserable I'm-not-pregnant feeling added to rising stress levels..
So, in order to combat the tears which seemed to be on their way I popped into Boots and came out with a bag full of new Clinique make upNot very :money: at all but at least it's Bonus Time..
Did I mention the Galaxy bar I also bought in Boots and pretty much inhaled I ate it so quickly in the car on the way home?
So, now feeling a bit better, back home with a big glass of red wine, DH cooking a curry and 'The Voice' on the telly. And relax! Tomorrow is a new day and I will try to be full of PMA for this next cycle0 -
Hi Ladies, hugs to all those with AF, poooooooo
QQ good luck on Monday, lots of lovely eggs waiting
Please can you put me on CD2, after two days of spotting AF finally showed her ugly face. But PMA has stayed around, danced around the living room yesterday evening, so there is no loss of happiness here.
Hugs to all and i hope you all enjoy the weekend.Leopardlady
Got married on the 26th April 08!!!!!!!:j:T
Bumpy Bean was due 20th Nov 2010, born 15th Nov :j:j:T0 -
mrsj28 thank you for the reply & the website. I have used Clear blue ovulation sticks in Feb so knew when I was ovulating then. I also have an app on my phone :S (although I know it's not gospel!) I think you're right & it's either going to be a longer cycle or due to illness/stress it's just later than normal. It's so frustrating tho
especially since last week I have been having what feels like period cramps, back ache & feeling exhausted! I guess I fabricated some of the pg symptoms with my wishful thinking!

Hi everyone.
I had this forum recommended to me by a friend who has been given some help with her debts so I'm hoping someone give me some advice.
A little summary about me. I'm 25, I have a little boy who was born in October last year and is now just over 5 months old. My first baby, a little girl, was born in October 2010 although sadly passed away at 3 days old.
My first pregnancy was a total surprise (so there was no TTC) and our second baby was conceived as a consequence of having sex virtually every day following our little girls death. After her birth, my periods returned in early December and I fell pregnant with our son in February 2011. He was born in October last year (at 37 weeks by elective c-section) and again following his birth my periods returned in mid December 2011.
We are desperate to extend our family further, particularly as my father has terminal cancer, and have been trying since my periods returned. My last period started on 20th March and my cycles are now about 31 days (had previously been 25 without fail).
I suppose I'm just after some support and words of wisdom on this journey. I know I don't ovulate on the same days or in the middle of my cycles (or atleast I didn't with my two previous pregnancies) and I would really appreciate some help trying to work out when I should be trying to seduce my husband! I have spoken to my GP because I was concerned my c-section had caused some internal damage (I was very ill afterwards and spent some time in intensive care) although because I'm 25 and haven't so far displayed any problems getting pregnant, he pretty much sent me packing.
Sorry for the long opening post, I look forward to your replies!
