Have just been sitting for 20 minutes reading back holding my mug of chinese medicine and steeling myself to take it! Really didn't fancy it tonight for some reason, even though it hasn't been bothering me much up to now. Anyway has been swallowed now. Urrgh!

My DS1 has been a real honey today. He had been planning a big treat for me for Mothers Day, but both he and Dad had managed not to take on board the fact that we had invited friends for lunch yesterday, even though we'd all been talking about it all week, which completely scuppered his plan (which was to take me out for lunch and pay for it himself from his pocket money). Instead he made me breakfast in bed yesterday and gave me some flowers and chocolates. But today he came home from school and asked if he could go out by himself to the local shopping mall as his dad had paid for the flowers and chocolates and he wanted to buy me something from his own money. He took the bus to the mall, was there about an hour and a half and came back with a pair of neon pink hair straighteners he had bought for me, and a box of lego he had bought for his little brother. I'm quite low maintenance with very short hair, but am all choked up by his thoughtfulness, especially as last year he forgot completely and I was quite hurt at the time. Feel a bit bad now for teasing him on Saturday :o. We were talking about the film the Women in Black and I said that if anyone took any of my children away from me, I too would come back and tear them limb from limb. Unless the children had been behaving particularly badly that day, in which case I'd buy the person a box of Quality Street. :D DS1 was a bit speechless at that...

Nicki, that is so sweet of your DS, how old is he again? For the 2nd year in a row mothers day was ignored in my house, my 15 year old son says that it is all a consumerism (sp?) con and he will not entertain it! Not sure if I should be proud of him for knowing his own mind and sticking to his principles or disappointed cos he is too lazy to even pick me up a card! He even tried to blame mrh for not taking him out or picking something up on his behalf!

ETA-it doesn't really bother me-the worst was my very first mothers day when I got nothing-the ex didn't get why I was upset-"after all it's not like DS would have gone to the shops and bought something himself-he was only 3 months old!" I hate man logic sometimes!

He's 12 mrshappy. He said this evening that he had really enjoyed going out on his own to go shopping as he had felt very adult. We only very recently opened a bank account for him which his pocket money gets paid into, and he is enjoying the novelty value of having his own debit card :)

    Morning Ladies,

Well, I got a darker line today on the IC so did my digi:o. I know I said I would wait till tmrw but I had a revelation: my cycle is usually 31 days and today is already day 32 (I know it's only 13dpo but hey ho):D.

    So the result is:

Not sure if it works, this is my first time ever inserting a picture.

And what I did differently this month:
    • used CBFM so knew that I ovulated on CD19 (I got a peak on cd19 and had ovulation pain in the afternoon)
    • I went for acupuncture on CD8, CD 15 to help ovulation, and for relaxation on CD22 and CD29. This was the first time ever.
    • We BD-d on CD15,16,17,18 and 19 in the morning, actually all BD happened in the mornings, and I lied down for 12 min each time.
    • I have only taken Pregnacare and Vitamin B6.
    • I lost 5 pounds (bringing my BMI down from 23 to 22) this cycle just by stressing and worrying so much about OH- I would not recommend this to anyone
So that's it really, it hasn't sunken in just yet. I definitely haven't told OH and won't be telling him till 4th April when I see him again. Someone give me strength to keep it inside me till than:eek:. I am really nervous, I had my MC last time at 5wk 4 days, I don't want to get my hopes high in case it ends up badly again.
