    :pAfternoon,

BZ, huge hugs. Also hugs for those who are on AF.

Welcome Natterjack, really hope your stay is short and sweet!

We don't celebrate Valentine's day, I got OH a card (ASDA 7p one) and a choccie from 99p shop but will give it to him on the 16th as that's the anniversary of our first shag:o. OH said to me last night that he couldn't believe that he is still having sex with the same girl and it's just getting better, I thought that was a lovely thing to say:D:p.

Busy week at work for me, also have an OU assignment to get on with.

Confession time... does anyone else read the pg threads and almost start posting as they've managed to convince themselves that there might be a baby in there?

Not that I do of course, oh no, wouldn't dream of even glancing at the under 12 weeks thread and then imagining I have every symptom mentioned.

ETA: and I absolutely definitely wouldn't read 30+ pages trying to find posts where people said they still had no symptoms.

    Afternoon all,

I understand all to well the feelings of bitterness and jealousy. Its one of the reasons I rarely post on here any more, because I am sure all the crap that will pour out is nasty vileness from me :(

DW and I are actually going out for Valentines. I miscarried my twins in 97 on Valentines, so it's a day tinged with sadness for me.

Anyway bless, DW who has organised tickets to a West End Show I have been dying to see and I've beeb painting something on canvas as a present for DW and getting DS involved too, he painted a boat - which I think will look lovely in the bathroom!!

Our baby sitter called us yesterday, to say that she was unable to babysit, because her boyfriend had been murdered. How bloody awful :( God, I feel for her - lovely girl.

Still holding out hope that I ovulated 2 days ago, instead of 4!

We're trying to keep it relaxed too but BDing every 2-3 days so there's always fresh sperm available no matter when I Ov. this is what Doctors and the NICE guidelines recommend. In fact if you google the NICE guideline it's quite informative on what works and what doesn't

Studies show that people using OPKs are no more likely to get pregnant than those having sx every 2-3 days but obviously those who find it harder to have frequent sx find OPKs useful x x

Thanks for this... I asked a little while ago and got some good advice but sometimes you need things reiterated to put into perspective! x

I for one, like to know that i am not the only one out there feeling this way. It makes me feel less evil and just a little more normal to know that it may be common to feel like that.

As for your babysitter, i wish her all the strength and understanding possible. Puts my woes in perspective. Poor thing.

Kavics - That's a much more fun thing to celebrate than Valentines!

Welcome to the newbies, hope your stay is short and sweet.

I'm another with FB envy, a friend announced her 2nd this morning. I do happen to know they had started trying by at least last April and she's only 3 months gone now so it must've taken at leat 7 months.

Didn't stop me getting slightly stroppy on my birthday morning that I haven't got a baby yet. Not helped further by little bro's text that basically said "you're getting old, na na na na na". Or the OH who had to ring me at work to say Happy Birthday cos he forgot first thing. Or the fact he actually had to ask me what he's bought me. Last of the true romantics my OH!

Think it's hard this year as last year I was all consumed with weddingy stuff I managed to forget I turned 30. But then as every Facebooker know, babies follow wedding. And I haven't yet!

Anyway, that's enough grumbles from me for today!

Hugs to those that need it, especially SkintChick. And good luck to those doing a bit of V day testing

I've just ordered DHEA, it's supposed to improve egg quality:cool:

I've tried Chinese medicine, acupuncture, royal jelly, melatonin, soy, Vit B complex and now this:rotfl:
TTC can make one crazy. I never thought I'd try all these placebo sounding supplements, but anyway, it's on with DHEA:p

Tea Lover, (((hugs))). I hate long cycles, my longest was 54 days, I ov'd at CD40:( Do you think you've ov'd yet?

Oh, and yes I do have a peek on the pg boards, I even lurk on the newborn thread:D
dizsiebubba, (((hugs))) for BFN, but you are not out yet. Is your cycles usually very regular?
Stress can delay ov, especially TTC stress.
LittleMoog, one needs to drink plenty to get fertile cm, but cut back fluids to do opks. It doesn't make sense does it?:D
Why not try one just before going to bed? I drink a lot during the day, so I only seem to get positives at 11pm:o

I think holding the wee is not that important. One needs to stop drinking for 3hrs and have just enough wee for OPK at the end of it. Say go for a wee an hour before testing.
Lily the legend, hugs for AF:(
    smiley_hug.gif
11 people between CD2-4 must be some kind of a record:o
    Littlezee, (((hugs))):(
Soaking a pad in less than an hour sounds worrying. I think I was told to come in if it happened when I had mc.
Tinkwings, yay for your DD walking:T
As for getting pg without men, I'd vote for that too:cool:
    Natterjack, welcome:wave:
I've added you to the first page, let me know if you'd like to add or change anything:)
    Fingers crossed you'll score 1st time again:j
snowedunderitall, only way to know for sure either way is to... test!:D
    2ba3c, your baby sitter's boyfriend was murdered?
    That's horrible:(
As for ov, either days looks like well timed, fingers crossed:)

As for valentines, I usually get a card as it's the day we got engaged as well, but DH never does anything, so I'm going to give it a miss this year:mad:

I've decided to stop giving him birthday cards as well as Christmas cards from now on too, as he's forgotten both last year_party_
