I'm cooking a nice dinner for DH tomorrow night, we never go out around Valentines as it's always crowded, overpriced and not very romantic!

My present to him was going to be letting him play the demo for a new XBox game he's really excited about, without complaining about it :rotfl: bad timing for them to release the demo on Valentines, guess they thought the target audience wouldn't have plans!
Anyway, he got a code to download it early last night (and stayed up til 1am playing it *rolls eyes*), so now I'll have to think of another non-spendy way to be nice to him ;) We do have some clubcard voucher cinema tickets to use by the end of the month, so maybe we'll go and see the Muppets.

  • Also feeling the broodiness and envy... at work when I started in September 14 of the girls were pregnant or on maternity leave, and more since! Not even including friends.. one has just announced her third pregnancy and her two are younger than my youngest! x

snowed under, the first few cycles post pill tend to be erratic, and even after that it isn't unheard of to have an unusual one every now and again. I am usually consistently 27/28 days and have been for year, but last month was 22 days for reasons best known to itself. And no, despite initially hoping that was the case, it was too heavy to be an implantation bleed for me.

Best way to know whether your predicted fertile time is right is to doublecheck with OPKs but if you dont want to do that, just keep BDing at least every 2-3 days until AF comes round again.

On Valentines Day, we haven't gone out on the night for about 6 years, since the year my OH had to work on the 14th and we decided to go out on 15th instead. That was so much better - the restaurant was calm and quiet and no set menus. We always tell the waiter that it is a delayed Valentines meal and get nice service (once we even got a free Valentine's type dessert from the kitchen which I guess was left over from the previous night). Beats the year before when we got stuck with a set menu, and I ended up throwing up in the ladies loo half way through because I am allergic to shellfish and it had some sneaked in to one of the dishes. (nothing to do with copious wine consumed whatever my OH might tell you now!) So now, OH cooks on the 14th (the only night of the year he ever does), and we go out the day after.

I am so envious lately i feel so angry at myself!!! It is getting ridiculous. it is coming from a place i cant just seem to control.
The latest one and of which i'm embarassed and upset about is i am distancing from some really good friends who decided to go for it after saying they wouldn't and got pregnant on their first ever try. Their baby girl is 2 months on now, and i just cant put up with the updates and photos anymore. I 'unsubscribed'. I am incredibly happy they have got a happy gorgeous family, but every photo is a reminder that i don't.......

Natterjack - welcome to the thread, I hope your stay here is a short one.

For valentines, it is our first as a married couple and so we are going for dinner at the hotel where our reception was and they are giving us a free bottle of wine. It is a set menu but we have seen it in advance and there is quite a bit of choice.

Hugs for Tealover, TInk and BigZee.

I tested today as I am CD31 but BFN. As it's so close to Af being due I'll assume it is correct and wait for AF to show. Am not as gutted as last month but still did think this might be my month. Now I have the dilemma of wanting a baby and needing to get PG so even if I lose it at least they will investiagte, and not wanting a winter baby because of my mental health history. It is a very hard decision.

Ooooo can I join pleeeease? Me and oh have just started ttc number 2 and ds is only 7 1/2 months- may be mad but the age gap will be nice. I got pg with ds 1st month last time but doesn't mean I will this time. Sending everyone babydust that needs it :)

    Welcome!

In response to the Facebook comments, it's just as hard looking at blokes fb pages. I was looking at OHs the other day (not snooping, we just leave ourselves logged on) and about 50% of the posts were of his mates showing pics of their babies & saying how lovely they were.

It doesn't help, but we need to remember our OH's may be feeling like they are missing out too.

Valentines is a night in for us. Think we've only been out once in 10 years on Valentines. We get to go out quite a lot so we don't feel the need to go out. Will cook a special meal though.

    Wow, lots of chat today!

I'm excited for the Valentines Day BFPs :j

Big hugs for Tea Lover and Zippy and anyone else that's had a cruddy start to the week.

I too wish that DH wasn't needed to make a baby! If I could do it myself I'd be much more efficient :p

Tinks - I would say the M&S deal. DH is rubbish at Valentines and I wasn't expecting him to remember, so I had planned a day of shopping and lunch for me and DD. And then he says today that he'll take me out for lunch tomorrow. Bah. We're still taking DD with us and I'm going to get her some crawling shoes. Not that she's crawling. Or even that she won't wear any of the shoes that she already has without pulling them off :rotfl:

I'm so ready for this cycle to be over with. I thought the 2ww would go super quick second time round. But no. DD having her nap now, so DH is in charge whilst I go to the Post Office, charity shop and dump. Exciting life!

Oh and MV - I think you should definitely throw caution to the wind :) * runs to FB to see if I have been defriended* :o
