It's amazing what you learn isn't it!

Now I'm out for a meal tonight in the middle of the 2WW - would you ladies have just a small glass of wine or would you be good an play it safe? Just wondering.
You are "allowed" a small glass of wine during pregnancy anyway, and any bean you may have implanting won't be taking nutrients from your diet at this point anyway, so theoretically it is fine... it all comes down to personal choice :)

Personally, I've been TTC so long I figure relaxing is as important as abstinence/stressing about every thing, and a small glass of anything like that is highly unlikely to do anything. I don't have more than the odd one here and there though, unless AF/pre-ov

Hi zcrat - personally I would have a small glass of wine... I have been drinking a little bit during this 2ww, occasional small glass of wine... but I think it's a very personal choice and I'm not sure what a medical opinion would be!

Part of me just wants to carry on with life as 'normal' until I get a BFP although I am making sure I don't overdo alcohol, caffeine etc, I'm not cutting it out completely yet. I know a few people who didn't find out they were pregnant until much further along and had been drinking etc until then.

    My morning tablets today:

I'm sure this TTC business isn't good for my health ;):p

Those EPO capsulses are MASSIVE, aren't they?

I almost like having to take all the tablets though in the run up to OV, makes me feel like I am doing something useful!

I am very proud of myself for not testing today (only 9DPO, so ridiculously early, but I really wanted to). I got as far as taking a test into the bathroom with me but then stopped myself. Every morning I get up I have to force myself to go and wee without a test in sight.
(Sometimes I wonder if I will go so mad that I'll do that one day and then stick an IC dip test in the toilet after I've weed :rotfl:)

Thanks guys. That was my thought to. As long as I'm not trollied on 2 bottles on a Saturday night and it's just a civilised small glass whilst eating I thought it'd be ok.

On another (completely not ttc) scary note. I was just thinking of booking a massage for Saturday. Am bored at work so keyed into Martin's mortgage overpayment calculator what a difference that £55 would make if I paid it off my mortgage instead of having a massage. It would save me £121 in interest and 2 weeks off my mortgage. How scary is that!!

    Thank you

I came off the pill for my 1st baby and didn't have a natural period, just got pregnant straight away. Had kind of half expected / hoped for the same result this time. :o

We have been BD at the right sort of times, but no luck so far. I did test quite late when I was pregnant with my daughter, so if I get a BFN result I keep thinking back to then, but then AF keeps on arriving. :( Kind of dreading her arriving in a couple of days again if I am honest :(

I am a teeny tiny bit of a control freak so not liking the waiting game. Wouldn't be so bad if the time scale wasn't so long to wait in between time...

Reckon it's time for me to stop "learning" for a while ;) And I'm taking QQ with me :p(and some others, she was the first long-timer that sprang to mind ;))
You are right, it's about time we long-timers moved to the <12 weeks thread:cool:

I only take Pregnacare these days:o
Thanks so much for all the well wishes you lovely people. I saw my doctor today and it's slowly starting to feel real. I got a big information pack about to read through.
    Enjoy your pregnancy!

    Ninth Anniversary Combo Breaker
    Hullo newbies!!!! and hullo everyone.
AF has bogged off hurrah, and so now just the wait until OV. Hoping successful this month more for the ahhhhhhhh factor, as I think we will OV right near to our anniversary of being together, 9 years wooo! Although unfortunatly we are going away far this too early to Ov when we are celebrating. We are going to Norwich for a couple of days, but will be glad I'm not Ov when we are there as means I can have a few drinks as we are going to a concert involving probably a lot of bouncing around and not of the sexual kind.

Am babysitting my friend's 14 week old next week as well for a couple of hours. It's going to be the first time she's left him with anyone except her mum, or OH. So I feeled honored.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

Hello girls, just a quick hello as life has been hectic these past few days.
Hello to the newbies and hugs for any on cd1
QQ please update me on your list to 5dpo as I suspect based on the OPK's that I OV'ed on Saturday. So now we wait......
Oh and if one more person says something to me about 'my biological clock ticking' I might scream. I'm thinking of writing on my forhead that we have been trying for months and your comments are not helping!

Another girl I work with has just announced her pregnancy and I am proud of myself for congratulating her in a very genuine way despite inside I am dead jealous.
If at first you dont succeed, try, try again

Drink til its pink is my motto.

Though I poured myself a small glass of wine last night when DH was out, at 4dpo, and ended up not drinking most of it just in case :o Which is most unlike me and seriously deserving of the big waggy finger!
