I always have vivid dreams! Some times I wake up so exhausted I wish I hadn't bothered going to sleep. My dreams are much more vivid than my actual life, I sometimes wonder if this is real at all (I know, I'm mad!)
Think I'm going for testing on feb 14th, if AF hasn't turned up by then. That will be CD40 so am expecting AF to be in flow by then. My last cycle was 49 days, before that they've usually been between 34 and 45 days (ish). I don't want to test early and be disappointed by a bfn, so by 40 days I should get an answer one way or the other.
Me too - always very vivid dreams. Wears me out sometimes, and when I am stressed they are always random stressy dreams (like constantly missing the bus, or forgetting things) and I wake up all stressed trying to work out what I am worrying about.
I have learnt to let myself chill out when I wake up - with a stern 'stop it - it's not real. Get up and go do something!'Thanks FA!I'm not counting my chickens just yet, I was randomly spotting yesterday, but I'm really hoping that's the last of it now!!
I feel like I need to whisper just in case! :shhh::rotfl:
How you doing?
Glad it's stopped Zippy. Sounded crazy long.
I am awaiting the arrival of the witch. I gave in and tested this morning with fmu, and another BFN. Sore back and normal AF symptoms appearing now, and things like sore boobs have stopped. Now I am paying more attention I see I get sore boobs from ov to about 2 days before AF. Interesting what you notice in the crazy ttc universe!0 -
thanks everyone, you're all so kind and helpful on here! thanks for putting my mind at rest about last month. going to have a look at the tests on ebay now0

Thank you everyone for the well wishes and congratulations, it means a lot, although I will probably stick on this thread for a wee while as I'm a bit scared and still in shock.
Fannyanna and BZ, I am glad your bleeding has stopped/is stopping. Hopefully it is a positive sign for you both.
Welcome back Lily.
Welcome 20something. I wouldn't worry about a chemical pregnancy hun, lots of people get spotting before their actual period. Is it just pg tests you are wanting or ov tests too? I used pg and ov tests bought from ebay. The ov tests were 25miu and the pg tests were 10miu which is very sensitive, however the tests only showed very faint positives. These i believe are the same as the pound shop tests. I also used a First Response which states it can be used as early as 6 days before af is due. A boots own brand which was £4.xx and said negative so I would imagine isn't as sensitive and a CB Digital which was +ve so all tests are different and some people don't get a +ve untill a few days after af is due anyway.
BZ, I am ok thanks hun, having a day at home with the OH as there is nothing we can be doing at the moment now. The funeral is arranged, the death registered, the bank and all the gas/elec etc notified. We can't sort through any personal items until after the funeral as OH's sister is in Jamaica getting married (today as it goes). We are just going to chill out and clean up. We both miss MIL but at least she isn't in pain now and is at peace. It just feels kind of serene and peaceful and calm. It's the first day I've been at home in the day time in over a week.
I haven't notified the CB people as they did say if you get pg they want you to continue with a diff trial so need to wait for the paperwork to come through so i know what to do/say.
Good luck with your docs appointment xxYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I'm a big fan of Superdrug own, they are one of the most sensitive ones and are often on offer.
If I recall correctly there's a list on the first page with sensitivities of the most popular HPTs

Afternoon Ladies,
Ikkle, so sorry for MIL, I wanted to write last night but got distracted. And HUGE congratulations on BFP, enjoy your pregnancy!
BZ and Fannyanna, glad that bleeding has stopped, it was bl..dy time!
Welcome 20something and Lily. I use internet cheapie pregnancy tests, they were £3 for 30 on Amazon and I also use the CBFM and internet cheapie ovulation sticks which don't work for me at all. Still getting high on CBFM, not sure what is happening but I will go with the flow I guess.
OH had his operation this morning, we both went through a lot of emotions last night wondering whether he should have it or not (it's a revision op as first one didn't do the job). We googled videos about the op and finally he decided to go for it but neither of us got any sleep last night. He was the first one this morning and the hospital called me to go and collect him after 11. That wasn't the plan, he supposed to stay there overnight! So I did a mad rush through south London to get him and came back to work, meanwhile pretended that I was at work as my boss clearly said I couldn't take today off. I was out for 2 hours but took work with me. Feeling rather guilty but hey ho, I couldn't have let him stay there waiting till 6.30 tonight!
Haven't had my lunch either, I think I might eat some fruits now, don't want to eat much before dinner.0 -
Happy Birthday to Nicki's DS!
ladies, i need a 'don't be silly' slap. i want to join a gym so that i can exercise and lose weight but i'm worried it'll stop me getting pg.
but i also think being this big is stopping me getting pg and really there's no way a lazy bum like me would do the amount of exercise necessary to interfere, as surely it's only like hardcore atheletes whose periods stop. i only want to do something along the lines of the couch 2 5k and a little bit of weight training, but i don't think i'd do that during the 2ww anyway, depending on Dr Google's advice of course lol
i want my goal to be doing at least 150 minutes of actual exercise (ie actually moving body on treadmill, not just being in the gym).
there's a couple of gyms i've got my eye on, one's even got a ladies only section which would do my being self conscious the world of good (mainly about the weights), just need to hear back about fees to decide.
Plus even if it does delay pregnancy, surely being healthier for my 9 months is a good deal? It might be sacrilege to say this on here, but maybe i wouldn't mind waiting a couple of extra months for it if it meant i was in a better place. plus if we do need treatment (which i kind of expect) they're going to want me to lose weight anyway so i might as well get a head start on them.
i'm at least a stone heavier than when i was found out i was pregnant, and i was nearly a stone heavier then than i was when i got pregnant cos of the honeymoon! so i know i can get pregnant at -2 stone, so i'm going to aim for that as an interim goal i think x x
hiya,
I use myfitnesspal to log my calories and exercise, and I make sure that I "eat back" any calories burned in exercise, to keep my deficit at about 1000kcal/day eg my daily allowance is about 1400 calories, but if I burn 600 at step aerobics, I eat an extra 400-500 calories
This way, you get the health benefits of exercise, increased fitness, toning etc, but you know you're not starving yourself, and therefore hopefully not preventing getting pghope that makes sense!
when I get pg, I plan to follow the same plan, but increase my calories allowance, to make sure I don't put on too much weight.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Ignore my earlier post. I am no longer on AF watch... I am now on CD1.
I had really hoped this was the month. Oh well, the merry-go-round continues.
By the way I use myfitness pal too and I love it! Really keeps track, and actually I have taken a week off dieting, as I was losing weight a bit quick. Overly sensitive to what the app told me! I kept having loose skin nightmares, so I maintained for a week, and am now trying to lose another few this week.
In better news, we had an offer on a house accepted today! Renovation project, but we are very pleased.0 -

OH has created a justgiving page for his mum to raise money for marie curie. Do you think its a good idea? He's originally from Trowbridge so thought it would be a way for people down there to show they care seeing as they can't attend the funeral xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
