So, I've just drunk 4 coffee's whilst researching OPK's and the CBFM.

Think I'm going to go and invest in the latter later this morning.

    Blimmin expensive though isn't it!

    Morning all!

BargainPrincess I think you should test. The fact that it was pinkish in tone sounds like implantation bleeding. Fingers crossed that this is the case and that AF hasn't appeared since your last post.

Twigglet I look forward to seeing the pictures of your furbabies.

tealover I hope your OH comes to his senses and spoils you rotten on your birthday. You never know, maybe it's a ruse to throw you off the scent from what he really has planned for you.

vesper I hope your OH wasn't too badly injured, and that work improves for you for a while.

Thank you bigzippy for hoping this is my cycle. :) Hope you managed to sleep with no leaking last night. I used to have really heavy AF when I was a teenager, and would frequently leak on the bedding. Luckily when I lived at home, my sheet was a plummy maroony colour, so it didn't look quite so scary. You could always try sleeping with an old towel underneath you to help add a layer of protection to the bedding.

Yay zcrat for Ov coinciding with the posh hotel stay. Regarding CBFM, have a look on your local gumtree - they quite frequently have them for sale on mine, and some of them are brand new as lucky people conceive before using them.

squirrel I hope it all goes well at the doctors and they can find out why your cycle has been so long.

CD23, so expecting AF anywhere between CD25-28 (she's been a bit varied recently).

Hugs for all on CD1 or for anyone feeling low or poorly.

    sexymouse xx
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    Morning all,
Sorry for the long post but hopefully i have caught up on everything now.

Mishka: congrats on your bfp, really good to see the digi photo, all there in black and white for you. If only the digi were as cheap as the IC and then it wouldnt be so hard to figure out.

QQ: really glad to hear that you are able to go for egg collection, i dont really know much about that side of things but hoping they collect lots of special ones, as everyone has said you only need 1 to work.

tinkwings: sorry to hear it took 6 needles to get blood, you must have been getting a bit stressed after 4! I know when I went through treatment and they needed to get the needle in my hand, all my veins would disappear, they would slap me about, put my hands in hot water and then they started eyeing up my feet and other places looking for veins!

when I go for blood now I have permantely little pit scars in the inside of my elbows where they take the normal bloods from, but I have never heard of drinking fluids, will definitely try that next time.

Vesper: sorry to hear you need some PMA, sending you hugs, wouldnt it be good if we could send virtual PMA pill to each other. Perhaps try going for a walk around the village together with your oh, wrap up warm and work up a sweat? Its freezing and frosty here but at least its dry. Might go for a walk by the beach myself today and just seen Sorry to hear about your OH falling off the lorry, hope hes ok.

Tealover: sorry to hear about your oh and the football, are you able to have a word with him and ask on your birthday can he ease up a bit? its not asking for much I think especially as its your birthday, perhaps he just needs to hear it I know some oh's especially my own dont think sometimes and need to be 'informed' :)

skintchick: I know how you feel about having a little cry I tell myself not to get so worked up every month but its hard sometimes, obviously my heart isnt listening. But I reckon its better to have a little cry sometimes and let it out.Sending you hugs

Bargainprincess: have you got any IC you could do just to check to see either way for you? hoping its implantation bleeding for you.

Claire16c: i agree, it annoys me when people say just have more sex and relax a bit! we are usual a weekend couple for b'd anyway so i would need to know roughly when i ov in the month to know when to concentrate a little bit more on the b'd front.

my cramps have stopped from yesterday, and af hasnt arrived, (due this weekend) so just expecting it to turn up.

    Hope everyone is well.

    Hi Ladies,

I am really confused, I had a very light slightly pinky discharge this morning and coupled with the cramps thought that was it for us this month. But I have had nothing since. AF type cramps are still there (have been all week) but I am now nearly 4 days late.

Still not tested as cramps are so painful and feels like it is on it's way

    Thanks

    Do a test!!!

Yay, congratulations Mishka, thought I saw a tlp on the ic then you posted your digi!

Hugs skintchick-I hope you're feeling better, I have been really weepy this week as well and it's horrible, I have cried about something every day and been arguing with nearly everyone I have spoken to! Also hugs tealover-they can be so inconsiderate sometimes, hope you're ok x

I'm just being nosey, but after twigglets (I think) post earlier mentioning having older kids, 18 and 20 if I remember correctly, does anyone else have a big age gap? My son is 15 and I have a few friends with big age gaps as well. Like I say, I'm just being nosey! I always said I didn't want more, then I met mrhappy!

    Hope everyone is good xx

I have no kids yet but my mum has 4, between my older brother and younger brother there is 18 years difference. 10 years between me and my younger brother. Same mum and dad, apparently when my older got into uni (at the age of 17) they got bored and decided to try for another one:D.

    Congrats Mishka!

My mooncup came :) hope I don't need to use it lol. Have really stuck to the temping and charting this month even added notes on so I'm aware of the situations etc.

Bloody knackered as MIL ended up in hospital last night with jaundice thanks to the liver cancer then discharged herself at 2am!
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx
  • Happy Saturday everyone :)

CD1 for me :o not a surprise really, and probably just as well what with the vast amounts of alcohol that OH & I consumed over Christmas.

MrsH, My son is 10 next week so we'll have a big age gap too - I think it's becoming more common these days, I certainly know a few people who have teenagers & toddlers. I never wanted my kids close together anyway, my sis-in-law had got pregnant with twin boys when her son was a year old, and the constant rounds of feeding, nappy changes and whinging kids was enough to literally put me off for years! My son was around 2 at the time and OH & I both decided to wait a bit longer. Of course, we never knew no. 2 would be so difficult to produce.... :o

Congrats to MIshka on the BFP :j and also to any others I've missed x

I'm off to Boots in a bit to stock up on Pregnacare TTC & maybe zinc for OH

We will have a bit of a gap, my boys are 7 & 9 this year. Going by the online calculators my edd is the day after my eldests b'day which is not ideal but there we go ! I always wanted 2 really close & its worked well for us but I am now looking forward to having a baby who will be the only one in the house ! Hugs to those on cd1 x x

    thanks if only :)

pretty certain af is on its way, i dont have any pg symptoms like i had before and just did a test as well and still bfn. normally i get pain the day before af and then nothing and then when i go to the toilet its just there.(sorry) She sneaks up on me.

I feel a lot better today about it all, at least when af arrives its a fresh start, think i will try and use the temps this month, least ill learn more about my body and my cycle anyway.
Just a quick question to you all, signed up to FF and i havent managed to watch the tutorials yet but when do i start temping is it when af has finished or when it starts, cd1?
just wondering because im watching a thermometer on ebay and just wondering when i need to get it for.

sorry to hear that ikkle87, hope your MIL is ok and comfortable.
  • OH went out and bought us both some multivitamins and himself some zinc a couple of days ago. It was nice for him to do that but then we had a big fall out last night.

i've put on weight since we met 5 years ago, going from a size 6-8 to size 10. I know I'm not massive but I'm 5ft 3 and feel that any weight gain shows on my small frame very easily, and its made me very miserably. I feel wobbly and flabby and generally quiet unfit and am worried about how I will cope with my body when I do get pregnant. I hate feeling big. I was very tearful about it last night, and got up this morning to part-jog part-walk 5.2 miles on the treadmill OH bought me

I'm also on a diet this week. 7 days of two bowls of special k then beans on toast and snacks of apples, bananas and raisons for me. OH has promised to be very supportive this time, but says he loves me just as I am.I struggle with this. I always have had problems with eating, going to the loo, eating the right foods and eating at all. Eugh life is hard sometimes!
