Have put your test date down mishka - did you realise it's Friday 13th this Friday? Hope it's lucky for you.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • Congratulations and comiserations to all who need it xx

I'm on cd5 at the minute, just desperate to try again. Hopefully will stop bleeding by cd7. Am I right assuming the most fertile days are cd12 to cd16? Am quite new to all these terms

Also can I ask what ewcm is? And how you all know when you ovulated?

Sorry for the questions -just have a feeling I might be here for a long time :-(

I'll edit the list to include you moneypuddle. Yes based on the average 28 day cycle, days 12-16 are the most fertile days, but I have a shorter cycle - 25-27 and can ovulate as early as CD10 or as late as CD15. ewcm is egg white cervical mucous - this is the discharge you get throughout your cycle and it gets stickier and stretchier and resembles egg white around the time you are ovulating. I use a clearblue fertility monitor to check when I'm ovulating, but started out with pee on a stick ovulation tests. Some people use basal body temperature thermometers to measure temperature change (a rise indicates ovulation and if continues to rise, it could indicate pregnancy).

  • Thanks for that sexy mouse! I just read your reply to my OH re basal temperatures and he replied "so its like the pilot light coming on in the oven then?" haha!

Ooh bit of a worry. I dont feel like I have ever experienced ewcm!
  • Oooh and one more question. Where do you put the basal thermometer. Is it just like a mouth one, or for your special bottom?

Thanks sexymouse, its nice to be included on the list. I'll update when I know more. I really have no idea whether we are supposed to wait or anything - hoping they will give me more info when I get my blood results back.

They go in your mouth and have two decimal places after the decimal point on the readout. You have to take your temperature immediately on waking in the morning before you even get out of bed or move too much. There are quite a few ladies on here who do it who probably know more than I do.

I'm sure you will have experienced ewcm before, you probably just haven't noticed it. I think there is a link on the first page to some more info on it.

Everyone I know who is/has been PG concieved fairly quickly and everything went well from start to finish; I can't help but worry that the odds are against me since the statistics have to come from somewhere and if I know a lot of people with textbook pregnancies and peerfect babies then I must be the exception... but I'm just having a bad day and over-thinking! :o

Birdie, I am so with you on this. My head computes without me trying how many friends have got pg easily and have had no probs. However, in terms of mc and things I think I'd only tell one of my best friends and therefore more stuff must have happened to people - they just don't say!!

Good luck with losing 12lbs - bet you can do it easily. I lost 60 pounds for my wedding last year - evern 7lb makes a difference. I know cos I've put it back on!!:rotfl:
