Yay Emsbet. Was catching up on the thread whilst on the cross trainer at the gym (not easy). Nearly fell off when I read the news. Fantastic!

Lesson learnt - the cross trainer and the forum don't mix!

Nothing going on with me TTC wise, think I'm at about 3dpo.

However I am still reading everyday and am just posting to say

Just been talking to Moon about going to Chester for a TTC holiday, and he seems quite keen. Don't know when we'll go though, as it'd be nice to go when the weather is a little warmer. I suppose it depends on if we haven't conceived after a year (only one more cycle to go til we go to the doctor if I don't get my BFP in a couple of weeks).

What's everyone up to? I've just eaten Nando's, yum!

Right, this is going to sound mad but I went into town and have come back with 4 frer's, 4 pound shop tests, 4 superdrug tests and 1 digi!!! I think there is something wrong with me but I couldn't stop myself lol.

I saved my FMU and just did the superdrug one. There is definitely a pink line but its pretty faint. You don't have to squint or anything to see it, but I think it should be a bit darker now no?

I know I have to stop obsessing, but its so hard!

Nothing - literally! Since 6pm last night he's either been on his sofa or in bed whilst I've been busying around. When he just asked me what was wrong I told him and he's now in a huff!! (Apart from my 2 hr sleep this afternoon:rotfl:)

He thinks because he works really hard (which to be fair, he does) he shouldn't have to do anything. I'm kind of ok with that although i work pretty hard too! What I do have an issue with is that because we don't live in our "dream home" he doesn't bother making it feel nice - we want to do the bathrooms up and paint the house. It's up to me to do everything - get the brochures, pick the bathroom - argh!!!!!!

I'm sure it's fine. If you want to reassure yourself leave it a day or two then retest. For the CB digis I wait a week between them to see the numbers go up. The test line can get darker as you go on but if it isn't it doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong.

Not necessarily. In general, the positive line will be darker when a greater amount of hCG is present in the urine, but not always. Some tests contain more or less dye (meaning there is just more or less color to "stick" to your hCG.) Some tests are more or less sensitive-- even 2 tests in the same box can be different. Also, your urine may have more or less hCG in it depending on what you ate or drank, or how long it's been since you last peed. Food itself does not cause false results, but can affect how much urine you have and how dilute it is. Eating salty chips and drinking caffeine all day will result in more concentrated pee, whereas gorging on watermelon and ginger ale will result in lots of very dilute pee. But an HPT is not meant to tell you "how" pregnant you are. It only tells you if you are pregnant or not. As long as there is a line in the results window, you are pregnant.
