    Thank you :)

Thanks sweetie. How are you doing?

I'm sure it's fine. If you want to reassure yourself leave it a day or two then retest. For the CB digis I wait a week between them to see the numbers go up. The test line can get darker as you go on but if it isn't it doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong.
I copied the below from POAS website

    9. I took another test and the line is lighter. Does this mean anything? Should it get darker?

Not necessarily. In general, the positive line will be darker when a greater amount of hCG is present in the urine, but not always. Some tests contain more or less dye (meaning there is just more or less color to "stick" to your hCG.) Some tests are more or less sensitive-- even 2 tests in the same box can be different. Also, your urine may have more or less hCG in it depending on what you ate or drank, or how long it's been since you last peed. Food itself does not cause false results, but can affect how much urine you have and how dilute it is. Eating salty chips and drinking caffeine all day will result in more concentrated pee, whereas gorging on watermelon and ginger ale will result in lots of very dilute pee. But an HPT is not meant to tell you "how" pregnant you are. It only tells you if you are pregnant or not. As long as there is a line in the results window, you are pregnant.

    Thank you :)
I will do another FRER in the morning, then at least I can compare that to Thursday's one. I am going to try and forget about it tonight.
Are you going to test again tomorrow?

I have two CB digis (didn't use one this morning as I didn't test with FMU) so I will probably do one tomorrow and then the other one in a week maybe. I'm not doing anymore than that because as I said recently I took about £60+ worth of tests last time and it didn't make a difference to the outcome. Also I should be having scans at 6, 9 and 12 weeks so that should reassure me.

I dread to think how much I've spent on tests as well!
Your right, its' not going to change the outcome. I will do one more in the morning and that's it.

I have made an appointment at the docs on thurs and I am going to ask if I can have a scan around 6/7 weeks. If not, I'll prob just do a private one I think.

Just been talking to Moon about going to Chester for a TTC holiday, and he seems quite keen. :) Don't know when we'll go though, as it'd be nice to go when the weather is a little warmer. I suppose it depends on if we haven't conceived after a year (only one more cycle to go til we go to the doctor if I don't get my BFP in a couple of weeks).

Sexymouse have you found that the year has gone past really fast or really slow if you dont mind me asking?

I cant believe Ive been off the pill for 7 months already. Although only had 6 cycles cos some have been so long. Only had 2 that I could really call 'normal' lengths.

So that time has flown, but then when I realise all that time has gone past so fast it makes me feel like wow, what is taking so long!!

I don't mind you asking at all. It's a bit of a mixture of the two really. *essay coming up*

The first time AF showed up hit me really hard, as we'd been trying on honeymoon, and I had got my hopes up that we'd have a honeymoon conception (my Mum conceived first time with both my sister and I, and she was 5 years older than me when she had me). I've had highs and lows throughout the year, particularly when AF showed up in September (I think) as on the same day, one of my friends sent me a text to tell me she was 3 months pregnant. I've tried to keep myself busy with other things, but to be honest, ttc has kind of taken over my life at the moment. In October I started a second job as an exam invigilator, which took my mind off things, as I'd not been getting much supply work so had had time to sit and wallow. The training for the invigilation kept my mind occupied. I've also started babysitting for a few different families, and have had an interview to work for JL, so I've been keeping busy. :D It does seem like a long time since we started trying, especially as I'd come off the pill almost a year before we started trying, so know my cycles are regular. I use the CBFM, and get peaks every month, so hope this does indicate that I'm ovulating, and that they're not false readings. Moon is a lot older than me (17.5 years, so has just turned 46), so both of us are worried that it could be his swimmers, and he does also find it hard to BD as often as we need to as he doesn't have as much stamina as he did when we were first dating (nearly 10 years ago), and he also finds he gets tired more easily just from doing day-to-day tasks. I'm hoping that there isn't anything wrong with either of us, but the not knowing, means I constantly have that in the back of my mind that if there is, that all of this time and money we've spent so far has been futile. I'm trying to see the New Year as a new start, and I tell myself that by the end of this year, we should have a baby (either onboard or born), so I'm trying to think positively. I think my ramblings have just demonstrated what a rollercoaster this ttc business can be. :o
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    Most definitely.

Some of that sounds very similar to me.

I stopped taking the pill in our last month of travelling which was also our honeymoon and I convinced myself I might be one of those people who get pg 1st month. Although then I read horror stories about people not get AF for 6 months after coming off the pill, so I was just happy that hadnt happened.

When we came back for first few weeks I didnt have a job so I redecorated the house, but like you had time on my hands. Then I did some temp work, but nothing strenous so I had lots of time to research ttc.

I then found a job as a nanny (as thinking about being a teacher in future years so would be good experience to have of working with kids), and as I work early morning, have the day time off and then go back for the school run and the evening I thought what a great job if I am pg, as I can sleep if im tired! However its only a temporary job, and its ending in a few weeks, and I really thought I would be pg by now!

I didnt want to go back to my old job, but couldnt decide what new job to do, but I thought oh well i should be pg anyway so wont have to worry. I have now found a job I do want to do, but if I dont get an interview then Im back to square one as its quite a rare one.

I know Im ovulating too from opks and temping, but my long cycles are frustrating me. With me, DH is my age so Im convinced its me rather than him. And like you, I think why do we have to wait a year to see a doc because if something is wrong, weve wasted an entire year!

I never had a 28 day cycle before the pill anyway, so I think if I have one more long cycle then Im going to the docs anyway, as Ill have been off the pill for 8 months by then and I want to get it sorted.
