I'm an inexperienced CM checker and this is the first month I am properly checking. I still am unable to differentiate even though I've been reading about it.

This morning, there was quite a lot of it, and it was definitely strectchy between the fingers, and kind of creamy/cloudy coloured - which make me THINK its fertile (can't remember the proper word for it), but I'm only CD10 and I usually don't ovulate until around CD17-20.

So can you get CM this far in advance, or is it not fertile and a different kind?

This morning I finally got a line on an opk - it wasn't as strong as the test line so I know that means I'm not peaking or anything but what does it mean? Does it mean I will be soon?
Not necessarily, in my case I get faint lines, sometimes darker, then back to faint etc and then get a sudden darker than control line.

I am visiting the UK early October & November so I will get a stash then if I need them.
Hope you don't get AF, and have to go to the pharmacy (in the nicest possible way):D

Does it stretch an inch? In which case you may be oving soon. I usually get 3 or 4 days of ewcm then ov.
    Have you started using opks?

oooo not sure about that..... I am lost on that one.... someone HEEELP :eek::rotfl:

In my short weeks of reading everything I can get my hands on re TTC I have no clue... not heard of +tive OPK whilst AF is around. I've never tested at that point in my cycle.

Sorry :o thought I was being helpful but just made things more confusing:(

Yes! It stretched SUPER far! I got a low reading on the CBFM this morning though.

-TMIalert- IF I did the dead last night and went straight to sleep, and then checked first thing, could this affect the results?

  • You were being helpful trixietoes as I have no idea whatsoever. To be honest I only tested this morning because of the dream I had - then confused myself when a line did appear. I'll test again this afternoon and see whether its disappeared again or still there (or darker). It's great fun being at work with a handbag full of OPKs and sanitary towels at the same time :rotfl:

I don;t want to start a fight, but I think that's a nasty thing to say LegalBlonde. Why would it be a lucky escape if the guy has a faith and is committed enough to stick to its tenets? I think your view is narrow minded and bigoted. Sorry, but I was offended by your comment, and it was unnecessary. :o

I am sorry SkintChick I want to nip this in the bud straight away. I am really sorry it offended you, it was a flippant comment in one of the many mid afternoon chats about nothing that I tend to have.

I was brought up a Catholic and did in fact think on afterwards as to whether it had offended anyone.

I am sure Rebekah will not mind me saying, she is not a virgin and she has met the partner she wants to spend the rest of her life and make babies with. Like many others, she was a bit affected by her ex's new fiancee and came on to seek reassurance that this was perfectly normal (which it is)

Knowing more about Rebekah (and everyone'e elses) sex lives and habits thanks to the subject of this thread than you would normally about people on a forum, I think I can say with confidence that they did not share the same sexual views and were therefore not sexually compatible with one another. Which is needed to make babies!

If others can cheer her up by saying well at least the fiancee is not this or that, I think it would cheer her up to remind her of the incompatibilities.

I don't know if Rebekah is married now or not, but she is obviously compatible with her partner and ready to make a new life together.

I know you would have to be psychic to get it from my one line post, but I genuinely meant because she personally is not compatible with him. If she was posting as a virgin and telling me about her playboy ex, I can put my hand on heart and say I would have said the same.

I don't want to open a debate and I haven't read on to see if anyone else commented on this.

This is a friendly thread and I am truly sorry for my flippant comment.

Will come back and post more as usual when caught up with the thread.

Rebekah I am sorry to speak "for" you so much I am really NOT I am just trying to explain my viewpoint at the time of posting (which as I said I accept you would have to be psychic to know, sorry)

  • Hi Everyone :)

Hope we can just put the above behind us, sorry again to anyone I offended.

QQ can I please predict 10 for September :) My first predictions so exciting

September so far is going well for me :) I got word last night that I am being kept at my main online job after 2 weeks of review :) and the other one seems to be ticking along okay.

Think I should be OV now, I am going to do a test and come back, not as exciting as a pregnancy test I will grant you but good to know :)

Hope everyone has a lovely day and hugs to those who need them. It is so weird that it is September feels like summer is over now and I need to sort myself out :S (I have worked fulltime since leaving uni, straight from school before that....)
