Oooohhhhh - FannyAnna I just read up. Sounds painful and upsetting.

If I were you, I'd curl up on the sofa with some chocs and read a book (watching christmas cheer films really doesn't do it for me).

I do not want to make you cry again (mind you, better out than in with tears you know) but I'm sending you hugs my best wishes.

As an aside - I had found a lump in my breast. Found out last week it is not cancer. But had to spend time in a breast clinic with people who had obviously been given bad news at some point. Not every likes a 'other people have it worse' and to be honest I respect that everyone's pain is very, very real to them regardless of how we feel about the situation. But it gave me food for thought. I don't know why I've shared that. But I *think* it may be poignant to us all.

    It was a massive scare.

Don't be sorry for the lack of mini-praline! Fate knows all in good time:D

Glad to know you are all well. I'll try to stick around. to be honest, I was beginning to obsess a little and with my friends dropping babies like santa drops gifts I really needed to step back so that I could be a true friend to them and celebrate their happiness!

I'm not even tracking periods at the moment. Very liberating:D

Hi Praline - glad lump turned out to be ok.

Fanyanna - huge hugs sounds like you have really been through it. Snuggle up in the warm with lots of chocolate.
  • Hi :-)

I recently joined your mad crazy chit chat a while back but haven't really posted much...(at all in fact!!!) and just thought i would sneak amongst the many and quietly lurk.

I am currently off work for having a MAMMOTH cyst removed from my fallopian tube, thankfully they saved it (tube...not cyst,....that would be wrong!) and have been ttc for about 2-3 years,

I haven't been trying properly though as i don't fully understand it all in depth, but i have (sort of) been diagnosed with PCOS so i think next year is the year to really read up on how to ttc properly!! (if that makes sense!!)

    Hope everyone is well!

In non ttc news, I paid off the last of OH's debt this am, a loan from a car he and his ex missus () bought yonks ago.

So although it hurt seeing my savings disappear, we are now debt free :j

Congrats on being debt free! :money: Martin would be proud!!

I did the same thing a couple of years ago - paid off DH's credit card debt and overdraft with my savings, just after we'd got married. It hurt at the time but it was the best decision ever - we recently bought our first home and both had good credit scores so getting the mortgage was quite straightforward. And all the tension about the debt disappeared and we were much happier almost immediately!

We'll just try it on the next cycle:) The clinic recommends doing it for at least an year, and something like 70% get a baby:cool:

Keeping everything crossed for you QQ for the egg collection and the 70% chance sounds really positive. Praying that we will all be posting on another forum this time next year :)

Welshpolarbear Congratulations on the BFP! Nice to have seen a few of those this last week - keep the rolling in!

QQ could you put me as 1DPO as of tomorrow? I think OV will have been today/yesterday if I am reading my body right and I'd rather predict a bit later so I'm not disappointed if I think AF is late and then it just turned out I OV'd a bit later. In any case, I am almost certain we are out this month... unless there were some long life sperm in Sunday night's batch (wishful thinking..). Have been feeling a bit low about it today as I was all geared up for trying Operation CC, and also one of my friends told me she is 12 weeks pregnant - and I know she got pregnant within days of trying with her first, and now the same again with her second.

Am genuinely very happy for her, but equally insanely jealous!!

Hope everybody has a lovely Christmas, I know it's going to be a difficult time for some of you, but I hope you can enjoy being with lovely OHs and a few days off work. Here's hoping 2012 is THE year for the forever babies.
