Just across the water? I have no idea where you mean lol, my geography isn't too great! Home is Whitby :) so quite far away!
I went to see a local GP about four years ago, but she was a family friend and although it was really helpful and she was really nice, it got a bit awkward at gatherings and stuff :o I saw a counsellor in year 13 at college and she says I can ring her if i need to, but she's just had a baby so she's always really busy. I dont really want to burden people. One of my housemates once asked about the scars on my arms and i did explain, but its never been mentioned since.

My geography aint good either, so we can snap on that.
Ohh Whitby is that up the coast towards ...erm South Shields, if it is, i had my driving lessons along there. great road that.

So it doesnt sound like you have much support. How about talking to a tutor? I confided in a tutor about something when i was at uni in sunderland, and he made things move as farr as councelling and support went.

It sounds like you think of others, more so than yaself hun, bit like me really. But you need to take steps in making sure you are ok.

Have you got a GP while your at uni? If so, go see them. IF not, get one, then go see them. ;)

Whitby's on the East Coast - popular tourist attraction during the summer :) My tutor is a bit... hm. I dont know how to explain. He's really sarcastic and sometimes mean in the way he says things, I dont think I'd go and talk to him about it in case he belittles it or makes me feel really stupid :( I do have a GP at uni.. but as I've not self harmed in a while... what would i say? :o

Yeah, Whitby, now it now. Yeah definately drove through there, think its near a lighthouse ;)

Thats understandable about your tutor hun, guess i was lucky with tutors, i have always had tutors that are there, and helpful, rather than hiding and mean.

You could just say to your GP, you are feeling alot worse than usual. you havent SH, which is really good btw hun. But that you feel you ned a little help. There is no harm, in telling him, how you are feeling? talk about your studies, how you are feeling. write things down if you need hun. Coz me once i go into ma GPs i forget what to say, so write things down. And he should be able to give you the support you need. And maybe try the uni welfare office to see how they can help.

right im offski, na nite everyone xxx

    Hi everyone :hello:

RBK, Tulip & McLaren good luck tomorrow with your appts.

Thanks for sharing your story with us McLaren. Make sure you write everything down, discuss it with the doc and DON'T feel selfish.

Tiff Hope you are well. Thanks for wishing me well in the appeal. I am dreading it. I have a friend coming with me for support. Keep your fingers crossed for me

    SF, Rose, GL :hello:

I've got to go back to the docs on Weds. Just to for her to check how I'm doing. On a scale of 1-10, it's 7. I just feel so so lacking in energy and have a stabbing pain in my head since Friday. I have taken so many painkillers and it's not touching the pain at all. Apart from that I am a happy chappy.
Life is like a box of chocolates, ya never know what yer gonna get ;);)
