Hello Ethel, have a (((HUG))) sounds like your day has tired you out. I am glad to hear that your daughter is OK. Did she go with you to buy new clothes? What did you/she buy?

yes.. they were able to spare a nurse for 2 hours so she came with me.. I got so fed up in the end I donno what she got.. some tops, shorts, footless tights I do remember.. - oh, and some jewellery.. other than that, I've no idea except that the bill came to £161  She kept putting things in the basket that were size 16 and 18 and she's only a size 10/12 so not sure what's going on there.. when I commented she got a strop on and went off in a huff which meant the nurse had to chase her and I sneakily swapped the clothes for the right size ;) I'm not the worlds best shopper.. I get confused and flustered and fed up with it very very quickly, lol.
I got myself a very plain, simple white shirt, a bit like a man's one for £3 :D

I thik I migt need to mention to someoen about her having a distorted body image

Am I right in thinking that you said she also suffers from an eating disorder?

It seems that you've lost a lot of your support network since you went in to have your operation. Perhaps that is why you are starting to feel really low again. Have you heard from your counsellor recently?

When you go to your hospital appointment tomorrow make sure you tell them how much pain your are in. Maybe they will be able to prescribe you a stronger painkiller.

    Who visited you today hun?

I went to drs on friday. I was worried about it so put it off for two days.
Had my last counselling session last wednesday. She tried to put a spin on it that we have got somewhere - carp.

    Two worries:
1 - That I was going to be thrown off the sick note
b - That he was going to up my meds.

    Well, I have a 2 month note now....whoopee
But, he has changed my ADs and I'm now going to be on a full strength meds. I'm not sure how I feel about it.

I have taken the 1st two days worth. Sitting here with strange numb/tingly feelings running up and down my arms. Nothing terrible but weird.

My seeking the drs help was half brought on by a need to go on the sick...and half because I am sick of feeling so sad. But now with the prospect of real mind altering drugs being put into me, I am a bit scared.

I spose they can't hurt. It's interesting to see if my brain can be helped. If the negative voices can be quietened down then I might be happier.

I just hope I'm still me.

    xx

    welcome.gif Home miro!!!:j
It's good to hear from you hun.hug.gif I've been wondering about you hun, and still mentioned you in my hellos. I'm glad you're all right angel.:T

    quote=Miroslav...
Not been up to much. I've started a job centre program. Saw a chap for 4 weeks at 1 hour a time to find out what I want to do and then he will hopefully find me a work placement for 6 weeks. He has found me one, but i've had to decline as it's the place where I get my counselling!
It sounds as though you have been making progress angel, inspite of everything. You've begun a helpful process with counselling (hard work I know hun;) ) and you're looking for work. These are huge steps for you hun as anyone who knows you will agree. No matter how long it takes or how hard it is, you are moving forward. Good for you hun!:T

Apart from that, not been up too much,
Well angel, that's a lot more than you were managing to do.;)
recovering from 'S' really. Been going to counselling and trying to sort my head out. It's useful but I still dislike myself and want to change lots of things that I can't or will find hard too. Im very aggitated at the moment as I have no money and not alot to do!
Counselling can work wonders for some people miro - it can be a long process, painful too, and sometimes you can't see how much it's helping until later on. Hopefully, all these plans you're starting will start to make you feel better about yourself hun. You know what Tiff's going to say don't you hun? :D
Change one thing at a time ok? ;)

I know if I say voluntary work, you will throw something at the computer so I'll duck ;) - but bear in mind that there are many different ways to do this, not necessarily in a charity shop. Local schools, hospitals, charities, libraries, befriending charities and other services need a lot of different skills hun. Contact your local volunteer bureau who will have a list of what's currently available in your area and maybe you can find something to inspire you - they can pay your travel costs in some cases.

It may also be worth looking up your local support groups as they tend to offer leisure activities too.
I'm thinking of Guidepost for example, which is a mental health charity. One just set up here, with a community cafe. Anyone can go in and if you walk past, it can be quite busy sometimes which is great, because they put mental health help on their shop name and logo, and so all kinds of people, ill or not, go in - even for a cup of tea or a meal. It looks really smart and friendly and there's a corner where they have all kinds of ideas or help on offer.
Mind and Rethink are two more charities that provide leisure activities/groups too.

These people know you won't have money angel and make things as cheap as they can. Plus all these thoughts will help to alleviate your agitation hun. Days can be long and lonely when you've only got yourself and your problems to fill it. I'm glad you're moving on from 's' miro. You gave it a good try but I'm sure you can see things differently now that you took that step back.

Well, that's enough from me for now angel - at least I know where to find you now! :D Expect plenty of Tiff advice  and lectures on blue smarties!:rotfl:
Thanks for letting us know how you are angel - it was good to hear your news. Lots of hugs around and plenty of familiar faces too hun. Hope Monday will be good to you miro. Take care hun. hug.gif
    Much Love,
    Tiff xxx

Morning All (Hi Tiff). Yep early riser this morning. Hubby is working an early shift, so he gets up at 3.45am!! Unfortunately he woke me up this morning. So anyway, have done my online Tesco shop already and am going to start cleaning the living room in a minute!!

I am going back to work today, which is a bit scary!! It is only for 2.5 hours from 3 to 5.30 this afternoon, but it still feels quite daunting. Am going to take my painkillers with me in case my ankle feels bad. Am looking forward to it in some ways. Particularly since it was pay day today and I got a whopping £285!! I hate SSP, How the hell is someone supposed to live for a month on that?! It doesn't even cover all my essential bills. Thank God my Hubby is subbing me.

At least i have my holiday to look forward to (3 weeks on Friday or 26 sleeps!!).
