    Afternoon peeps..

I'm feeling a bit odd but I can't explain how or what or why..

I've made a proactive decision about my son.. I've decided to home educate him, cos he rarely goes to school, because of having been bullied and it feels like the right thing to do. I could wait years for a place in the new school to come up, if ever and by then he'd be so far behind it would potentially be a waste of time.

On the plus side, i've done some teacher training, although it was for ESOL students, but the principles are the same, it will be a good bonding thing for both of us, and I have a feeling we can achieve a lot. It will be good also to have a focus and purpose to the day too.

Negatives are that resources and materials are expensive, but we might be able to get help with that.. and he might feel inclined to take the mickey a bit cos Im his mum rather than a proper teacher.. we shall see.

    Wish us luck xx

Well done on the other grades:)

Review the areas you think you need help with. Law is very tricky, so don't worry.

I am sorry to hear that you have to resort to this but you will have to set boundaries - at least you can be more flexible and have more days out and work in the evenings. That's what my mother did when I didn't goto school. I am better in the evening and learnt a lot more. It was a waste of time schooling me in the mornings:rotfl:

Superb results, resit law, but at least that is all you have to resit, channel your efforts into that for the summer because the other 3 b's are outstanding, do not forget to celebrate those, its easy with depression / perfectionism (me) to focus on the failure, dont, focus on the 3 b's which as Ive said, are excellent excellent results.
  • Oooh, you'll only be down the road from me!!! Have a fun day xxxx

I'll have to come round for afternoon tea and cakes :p

yeah its only £15 for a resit so thats ok. the law grade has made me realise how hard i need to work a decent grade. Thanks for your kind words support. Lets hope i can get the same grades in the summer :D

Law is a fascinating subject but awful trying on the brain... I did a 6 week taster course and couldn't cope with it at all, lol. Goood luck with it.. at least you know what to expect when you resit it so you can focus ur revision a bit x

lol.. not a morning person then CC?

I think we're just going to have to do lots of trial and error and go from there.. I've contacted the EWO and they should provide me with a core syllabus and some of the learning materials - after all, what is my council tax for otherwise? and I can get some stuff online/wh smith etc.. we should be ok..
