Does anyone ever recover from depression? i've been reading a while and no- one seems any better. Or do people leave once better? is AD's the only way to go and stay on them for the rest of your days?

Do we think alcohol is the cause of alot of our problems? how many people drink here? Is debt the biggest cause here? Do people have bad things happen and thats why? Do all people that have bad things happen get depressed? Do we think we could just snap out of it and stop being self pitying? Is self pity (Poor me) what depression is?

    Some questions to ask ourselves.
    Speaking for myself

My depression was caused by female health problems and life events.

Obviously there is good in life and I try to celebrate that.

Debt must be really depressing, having to watch money like a hawk - we had very little when we married and at 17 having to stay home a lot is quite a sacrifice. The only debt we have now is an offset mortgage, so it paid off being careful.

Alcohol for me is very variable, most of the time it makes me irritable and prone to having hissy fits, more so if I drink at home (not alone). It is better drunk when I am out and happy. If something annoys me during the changing from sobriety to inebriation, it can turn bad.

Frustration - wanting nice things to happen and it depending on others for your fate isn't pleasant, such as job searching and selling houses.

I had 30 years of women's problems screwing me up, we all have fluctuations but these were excessive, especially after I went on the pill. When I compare to what I have felt like over the last two years. Pregnancy and breastfeeding was the only time I got relief from it.

The last two years have been aggro living here and life events driving us to distraction. In the last month alone it has been a nightmare.

Got a 2nd viewing later and think I have a cold, feel dizzy and odd.

Not much to do now but will take it easy for now.

Someone came to the house at 11am but son was still dishevelled and his room a tip. Mine wasn't much better. They looked at the outside. We state appointments only on the spec but they would have had to taken us as we were or given us 10 minutes to straighten out!

I am really hating selling just now - people really know what buttons to press to irritate:mad:

It's a really stressful process to go through at the best of times, I think. Go easy on yourself particularly since you're feeling under the weather. Big hugs, Sazxxx

I have spent 4 hrs looking at old exam papers and have realised that I am totally F-ed.

I am reading something, turning the page, and its evaporated out of my head.
I have a pain in the middle of my brain caused by this subject just being too alien to me.
I've read the syllabus and I don't think we've been taught in a very good way. The exam questions are written confusingly.

    And I've got 6 days.
Even if I could commit the 600 unlinked facts to memory I still would be no good because I just have an inability to think when looking at an exam question. I'd fail even if I could take my books in with me!

Maybe this post belongs on a student board?
    But you are my friends.
    I feel alone and doomed.

I looked at some of the links Ethel gave me but it's my brain, the course notes, the lack of time, everything.
    I can't do it!!!

My life savings are ebbing away - i've wasted 3 months on this course and I think I've made a big mistake.
Girls are gonna love the way I toss my hair. Boys are gonna hate the way I seem.

I would rather drown with you than watch the surf with someone else
