I notice from another post you try to understand their behaivour, I wouldn't bother, they are moronic thugs. Your son probably has done nothing wrong whatsoever, no one deserves to go into school fearing the worst. It really gets my goat, I actually despise people like this, ganging up on one individual.

Wow LTD... thank you for sharing all of that.. what a strong man you are.. you mentioned needing to atone, I don't think that's true, I think you just have to take what you needed to learn from what happened and move forward with your life.. no matter what it throws up at you, keep learning and keep moving forward :)

Not sure what else to say really.. just wow :) xxxxxxx

You don't sound horrible at all and I understand why you ask. It took me a long time and a lot of hard work to get this house. I can't afford to sell up and move. We've been here three years. The boys took an instant dislike to my son as soon as we moved in and all their mates joined is, as they do. They don't go to his current school and have a reputation for being bad in school. Their school got a very bad Ofsted report. I have watched from a distance without any of them or my son knowing. I have seen them just rush up to him and push him off his bike for no reason. When I moved here 3 years ago, and when it started, I asked the boys why they were doing it (my son was 8) and they shrugged their shoulders and said "dunno". It just got worse from there. I've told my son he can't go out and he quite rightly replied "Why? I haven't done anything wrong." It's just worse and worse for him. I've stayed out of it as much as I can but now I just don't want him going outside anymore. We live in a cul-de-sac so he doesn't go far. Anyway, they are the reason he doesn't want to go to the school he's been allocated to. He feels that they will make his life hell there as well as at home. I am dreading the summer when they are out. The bully boys live a couple of roads away from us but always appear around our road.

That is terrible having it at home as well as at school.

What is the answer guys? I would want to leave there asap.

This is unacceptable for you and your son to have to take this rubbish from these chavs.

Karrie I would say use everything you can possibly use, get a letter from your mp, your gp, his current school - they're aware of the bullying I'm guessing? whoever can possibly help.

It might be worth a visit to CAB or something for further advice, I'm not sure. At the time when it happened with my son I was so entrenched in my depression I was almost bedridden so it all kind of washed over me, I so badly regret that now.

Tiffy or someone will probably be able to advise you much better but I would say fight tooth and claw for that boy.. it's not fair for him to be miserable because of stupid bureaucracy! xxxxxxxxxx

This is sickening and unacceptable for her and her son to have to live this way

What can be done - it is one of my biggest dreads that chavs target you at home

Because it feels as tho you really went deep into yourself and analysed everything.. I've never been able to have that kind of insight into myself and so I'm full of admiration for those who can :)

Or maybe I'm just gooey from the film I just watched, lol

  • LOL I guess tonight just made me think about things, I think I will sit down and write a full account of what really happened.

Depression - My Story (reactive depression though, to events) I think it helps people understand where im coming from if i analyse where I came from before all of this.

Yeah, that would be interesting to read :) I thnk it's also quite cathartic, a means of letting go of the bad stuff.. you know?

  • Does anyone ever recover from depression? i've been reading a while and no- one seems any better. Or do people leave once better? is AD's the only way to go and stay on them for the rest of your days?

Do we think alcohol is the cause of alot of our problems? how many people drink here? Is debt the biggest cause here? Do people have bad things happen and thats why? Do all people that have bad things happen get depressed? Do we think we could just snap out of it and stop being self pitying? Is self pity (Poor me) what depression is?

    Some questions to ask ourselves.
