Thank you for the kind words, can i ask what roboform is please?

    Thanks xx

Roboform is a form filling software. It speeds up your comping as you just press a button to input your details. There is a free trial version that works fine but you can upgrade to a paid version.
http://www.roboform.com/. It's not available on Mac but there is another similar application called 1password which I use.

Maybe take a break from it for a while, then come back to it with restored motiviation!! I go through phases where I lose my motivation....then a win will turn up and I'll get my comping mojo back!! :rotfl:
I've been comping on and off for about 5 years using MSE/internet (and for about another 5 years before that I did postcard comps)! In my experience the more you enter the more chance you have of winning (but the more it takes over your life). You have to enter a lot to get regular wins. I probably enter around 100 comps a day. That always shocks my non comping friends who question how I manage to win so much (and use the phrase "you're so lucky"). They have no idea how much effort and dedication it takes. I get a win every couple of weeks - usually only small wins but every so often something big comes along.

My biggest (value) win was only in January this year (after 5 years of trying)! I won a big technology prize package; a Macbook Air, HTC Desire, Xbox 360, Squeeze box radio and mobile broadband.

    Good luck!
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j
  • Hi, if you have norton protection on your pc it has a thing called "identity safe" which stores all your logins and details much the same as roboform, ps my forum wins this year have been few and far most of my wins have come from facebook, good luck
    This time we win!

I comp by saving the links to them in 'Favourites' in date order and deleting them as I do them and I was shocked the other day when I eventually got around to emptying my desktop recycling bin and from August last year there were over 21,000 comp links in there..........in just one year! When you add on all of the Dailies that are multiple entries and magazine comps that have loads of comps on one page, that's a lot of comps!

As others have said, take a break (no pun intended) and come back refreshed.

Don't give up! I've cut down over the past year as I'm working more now as my little boy goes to nursery (Starting School in Sept) I only enter the competitions that I would like to win and over the past 4 years had a 40" flat screen tv, a evening away with dinner bed and breakfast, I pod shuffle and lots of gift cards which have helped with birthday presents etc. I haven't had much but I'm pleased with what I've had. You wait you'll have a email or phone call when your least expecting it!

    I won, I won, I won!
I use to win nearly every day, now im lucky if I win something once a week lol.
Twitter is not really worth it anymore, facebook is hard and in general I think more people are entering comps.
I enter loads, I would say easily over 100 a day when you add them all up, and I sometimes think How do these people win all these prizes.
I dont tend to win big, bit in all fairness I have had a few big uns including a hotel stay at the grovesnor, trip to disneyland paris and im off to Ireland next month ( I had to pay travel)
So when I look back I see Its worth it.
Chin up, you just need that one win to get you back into it
    Thanks to everyone who posts

I have been comping for years entering 500 odd a day and never won anything big, there are a lot of newbies winning lately so it just shows it is down to luck.

I am fed up, when I go on my honeymoon I will have a two week break and hopefully when I get back I might win something!

I'm getting fed up with it and I've decided to have a break as from today! I'll still carry on with the ITV comps and a few regular ones on Facebook and Twitter but that's it.

I've been comping since the end of April and have had some fantastic wins, the best being £1,000 Co-Op vouchers which we're going to put towards a holiday. I've recently become a bit obsessed with comping and have been spending as much time as I can on Facebook and Twitter during the day and then staying up late going through the MSE comps by end date.

I've only had small wins recently and the kitchen cupboards are filling up with tat that I neither want or need! When I took delivery of a plastic welly drinking vessel this morning I decided enough was enough!

I'm going to have a break for a few days, crack on with the housework which has been neglected of late and get out and about instead of sitting at the laptop all day! When I come back to it I'm just going to enter comps where the prize is something I really want!

August wins: Jessica Chivers coaching session, Bacardi welly, Nails Inc polish x 2, Aerobie, Simple Eyes pack, Disney Jr cinema tix, Heinz BBQ Sauces, Models Own mascara, Anchor memorabilia x 2, Lipsy necklace, Cushelle Koala x 2, Andrex Puppy, digital skills kit, play tent, tix for National History Museum, sweet vouchers, Paul Mitchell serum
  • Have to say Ive just stummbled onto this thread, I used to be a comping addict got the bug from my mum years ago, loved doing comps entered loads mostly postcard or Plain paper not phone calls and just a few internet ones and won loads of fab prizes hols to NY, LA, Caribbean, greek isles, france, malta and egypt as well as spa breaks, washing machine, games consols, bikes, hoovers, dvd's etc however gave up about 18 months ago after not winning anything for over 12 months not even a dvd, looking back I was addicted and it was a hobby that I enjoyed with fab bonuses however very time consuming with hours and hours spent on the computer. Do I miss it No but sometimes miss the excitment of postie comming with the LWE maybe I will have another go but for now I have other things more worthwhile to do with my time.
  • I have only been comping since June 1st and also felt like giving up after not winning a thing. I didn't do any comps for a week I was so downhearted, then last week a parcel of organic surge beauty products arrived in the post, really lovely stuff, I'd won by sending my details to them by email. Not a valuable prize, but nice and really motivated me to start again. I think try and enter as many different types (emails, online forms, effort etc) as possible, and do at least an hour and a half a day - you will win sooner or later!

Don't give up just because you haven't won anything big...give up if you don't enjoy comping...I love entering comps, great fun, especially those involved with 'googling' to get the answers..."Live to learn and learn to live" my old school motto...as I enter each one, I think to myself...."that would be nice", but if I don't win it's nice to see a "Woo Hoo" post from someone that did, that's just as good...honest!! I really do believe in 'comping karma'.....there are a lot more people comping now so obviously the odds are not as good as they used to be so choose the prizes that you would really love( big or small....a little win gives me so much pleasure as I would not have entered to win it if I did not want to win it).....my advice is just don't just enter blindly for everything posted.Getting something you don't want and will throw away, is a bit pointless/selfish imho....I'm entering for things to give as raffle prizes for the local hospice, so those are 'great' wins to me... the Cushelle Bear was gratefully received !!!
