I too would go with stuffed mushrooms. What kind of pate have you got? Depending on the pate you could remove the stalk from the mushrooms, put a pinch of chopped garlic in the hole and stuff with a teaspoon (two tops) of the pate. Then brush the mushroom with beaten egg, roll in breadcrumbs and bake for until golden

Any idea what I could do with these? The kids often have this as a quick tea- grilled bacon, fried egg and toast.
But they leave all the edges of the bacon, the white and any solid-y bits of yolk. And this is their favourite meal!0 -

I'd approach it another way. I'd buy lean bacon (bacon medallions) and only cook the yellows of the eggs.... you can separate the yolk/whites and whip up a meringue with the whites. There's nothing you can really make with leftover bacon fat and uneaten egg whites.... unless you're trying to recreate "Horrid Workhouse Meals From the 1800s"0

Dumb question, how would I go about just cooking the yolk?
When I say they leave the edges, I mean they just eat a £2 coin size bit from in the middle, leaving a fair bit of crispy bacon.
I have never made egg and bacon pie before, off to google0 -
I never have problems with leftovers..... but then I do have 3 dogs:)Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0
