I have a bag of watercress spinach and rocket, past its best, any ideas on how to use this up? I was thinking about soup but would it be worth it for this little amount?

i'd do soup, fry off an onion in some butter or oil, put in the leaves and water boil it up with a potato or two (peeled and cube), after ten minutes or when all tender whizz in the liquidiser or with a wand whizzer(can't recall their proper name now).

Gently fry an onion, some celery and some garlic until translucent, in some butter. Add the risotto rice and chopped gammon and coat in butter. Add hot stock a ladle at a time, until no more can be absorbed. Add a load of parmesan, season to taste, and add more butter if you like :D Serve with more parmesan.

We had the most random meal ever last night - all made from leftovers. It was:
    roast beef
    gravy
    tinned tomatoes
    baked beans
    bacon
    sausage
    onions
    glug of red wine

All put into the slow cooker for about 4 hours and served with potato wedges.

    It was absolutely lush!! Mmmmmmmmmmm

I have lots of veg lurking in the bottom of my fridge, some of which has been lurking since well before Christmas

    This includes:
bag of carrots (bought at whoopsie price of 20p)
    bag of parsnips
    butternut squash
    chillies
    yellow pepper
    sweet pointed peppers
    onions including red and baby

plus oranges, limes, bramley apples and spring onions!

has anyone got any ideas on how this can all be used up?

    thanks :D
