How come people are so bothered about people selling items on to make a bit of money? last time I checked ebay is about making money and the sellers are doing nothing wrong that I can see (if I am wrong someone please point it out)

Surely it the same situation as when items like PS3's, Nintendo Wii's and xbox 360 HD DVD players are sold on ebay surely it's down to the buyer if they want to purchase the item or not.

For instance I wanted an xbox 360 HD DVD drive before christmas as I was let down by my pre-order but in the end I got one from Dixons as I did not want to pay more than I thought it was worth so I stayed away from ebay

I would say that 90% or more of people that sell items on ebay sell their stuff for more than what they have paid for it (to make a profit!!) and buyers will only be willing to pay how much they want to

I take it that all sellers on ebay are doing things wrong by making money as presumably people want them to make a loss?

Think some MSE members will probably start a petition to ebay to tell them it's not right that sellers should make a profit on ebay....lol

I didn't get the free one I wanted...But if you ask nicely the manager will probably give you a different one for free anyway....the guy in my currys was only too glad to get shot of the ones he had upstairs, taking up much needed space..OK, so I wanted one for a TFT but the one I got looks great, ex display...2 glass sheleves...and it's silver.:beer: :j

I have jst had the WORST experience I have ever had in a shop in my life!

The manager reduced me to tears in front of everyone!

I went in with my Samsung reservation - woman was annoied said she would have to speak to manager.. fine he said I could have it that was great.

Gave her my Phillips one and the lady was incenced said I was taking the P!55 in those exact words infront of everyone!.. went to manager.. who said I could have phillips but not samsung as they had none in stock.. But I already paid for it and had reciept!.. I said they were lying as they had samsung stock b4 they knew I wanted a Phillips aswell..

The manager shouted at me YOUR BARRED and said he was refunding me the samsung and I was getting NOTHING.. I refused to accept the refund and as I had recipt they had to give me my goods!.. He said was was being flippant and was barred!..

they told me to sign sumthing saying I was returning item as an unwanted gift.. I said it was surely illegal to force me to sign something that was lies.. as I didnt want a refund and the gift wasnt unwanted.

A lady who worked there came over and said the way I had been treated was terrible and gave me head office number.. I called spoke to Gavin (LOVELY MAN).. he then spoke to the Cheeky manager.

The manager came out said he would give me the Samsung as goodwill.. and apologised.. he then said I could have Phillips aswell.. brought me 2 down.. So they WERE lying!

Im still in shock!

I did not see the seller had more than 1 item for sale as surely if they are being "greedy" they will get rid of them in one go?

Everyone on ebay is trying to make some money and by them selling they are paying listing fees, selling fees

I say fair play as everyone is out to make some money and it's not against the law (last time I checked:rotfl: ) and I am sure some people are jealous (I will probably get slagged off for saying that but I don't care to be honest with you)

If you look at clothing that is made in poor countries for a pittence then sold on at an inflated price in the shops do you see people kicking up a fuss?

That is absolutely disgusting behaviour. I really hope you write and complain to head office. Did you get the names of the staff who were rude to you?

I'm glad you eventually got the TV stands- but you should not have had to go through such a humiliating ordeal to get them.

The offer was on the website- clear as anything, and in good faith you went to collect your items. I would seriously write and complain- I am furious for you!!

How dare they! And I knew they had them in stock, this is a show of how poor Currys are. Trading standards time. I have ordered another one at a different store, lets see them fob me off this time, and gave them a telephone number thats a bit not used at the moment.:rotfl:
