Bit of a manic day today and feeling bleurgh...................just out of sorts rather than ill.

After tomorrow may have a bit of head space to think clearly about financials again. Although work will will be busy for a week or so. Then its early finish for the summer for me as I am having op - nothing serious but it will keep me off work until hols starts.

Think micro manager is engineering the employment of a previous acolyte of whom I have heard mixed things....... and who will be working,albeit it in a subordinate role which I am sure they don't realise,very closely with me . Hate things like this as there are other good people being interviewed:mad:

Well DD2 sets off on her Big School Trip African Adventure today. She is very chilled with it all.................for OH and me its the first time in 23 years we will be 'child free' for any length of time. A glimpse of the future - gulp! Bet DD1 rucks up for some mum and dad time without little sis:rotfl:

And today has been one of those days................ OH bought some new equipment for the extreme sport he takes part in - essential as the gear he has been using has been repaired and patched so many times it was becoming unsafe to use:eek: But new gear is very expensive. So much eye rolling this evening and it goes without saying the consequences where very firmly reiterated:mad:

I have given up expensive extreme sport - mainly due to damaged knees and a loss of interest when children came along. I feel like going out and buying the equivalent in some very expensive plants and landscaping......but that would be out of spite. So while DD2 away I will cut back right back on food and make do with a well stocked store cupboard and freezer which we never seem to get to the bottom of ......ideal as there is lots of fish thats needs eating and he is not keen...................:D

Going to see some local private gardens today with some friends - group of gardens in a small village that are a well kept secret - amazing what they can do considering size and aspect

Only 2 days left in work then thats me done until September:) Looking forward to some down time.

How on earth did I spend £75 in T*sco?? OK it was a toiletries and cleaning products week that bumped it up a bit. At least T*sco are donating a percentage to Trussell Trust.............

Feeling tired and generally bleurgh today. Last day with frogs tomorrow - having surgery Wednesday so wont be seeing them again until September - well those who are not leaving the pond - which feels light years away!

Still plugging away at the debt but going through a bit of a OFFS moment - it will pass:(

Up and about - takes more than a hammer and chisel to keep me down................:eek: No pain killers but brought home what they offered me as its all free!!;) Had a meal out last night before coming home with OH something we cant remember doing in a long time and felt we deserved it. Taking it easy today with glorious sunshine a good book and a lovely deck chair in my favourite part of the garden with OH on hand to fetch and carry:) Will also be making a few financial and meal plans and slap a few things on Eb*y. Got to keep the momentum going otherwise July will slip into August and before we know it its back on the treadmill again................:(
