Sorry you have been in the wars a bit. The micro manager sounds like a right pain. I take it she is very good at hiding her nature from your bosses?
Good idea about the square colouring. It worked for Hypno and others as a focussing tool so go for it. Have you got any old gold you could sell to boost the debt repayments?

............... I have though been keeping an eye on the financials and making my PADs. In addition I resurrected my spending diary AGAIN. Rearranged the freezer AGAIN. Culled some MSE diaries AGAIN. Looked how better I can menu plan AGAIN. Fallen out with Eb*Y AGAIN - hopefully only temporary as this is really the only way I can realistically make some extra cash and come to the conclusion that 12 months down the line I seem to be no further on debt wise AGAIN
I have to console myself 'its no worse' considering the spendful year we have had so far
This bit made me chuckle - I am in exactly the same position and posted yesterday about it!!
I have paid off £9 of debt in 10 months:eek: I too realise that I need to get a firmer grip on my debts.
I spent on 1 credit card over Xmas which has basically cancelled out any payments made.
Today is going to be a wet and windy day so it is paperwork time and I am going to come up with a plan!!!
Just wanted to say, sorry to hear about your condition but great that it has been diagnosed so early and that you are hoping to manage it by being sensible (with work etc).
My DH has a neurological condition, it is a nightmare because physically he looks great but what goes on in his head is anyone's guess:rotfl: (Watching Gary on Big Brother is a bit to close to home for us and to see him bullied was too much - DH is not that bad but can be 'slow' at times!)
Hope your weather is good today and you can get out in the garden:T0 -
£353.29 in PADs so far for August:) Going to colour in my squares taking into account Augusts payments just to give me a boostBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

1.5 squares coloured in
have decided to break down each square into 4 i.e 0.25% just so it looks as if this debt is reducing quickly:rotfl: A psychological boost..........every little helps

I have realised I am going to have to have a monthly list of things that I need to do/ goals to achieve. My recent diagnosis means I expect to experience dips in energy, poor concentration, general mehness and I think if I dont have a list to consult then I'm kinda going to lose track and focus............ time seems to be all of a sudden too precious and I dont want to be in the same pickle 5 years on:eek: First things are to get on top of the clutter and stuff in this house......seems to be a regular theme with me! Have to say rooms in our house are not stuffed full and untidy we just have plenty of clever storage and outhouses and three 'spare' rooms which are used for storing 'stuff' - office, DD1 bedroom when she is home visiting, sitting room ( TV free room) oh and a conservatory which is currently housing my work stuff..........determined to recycle, donate, freecycle, sell as much as possible.
Anyway...........will earmark 15 tasks for September. back with a list later:)Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Will you come under the DDA at work? It might mean some help to accommodate your condition.
Good luck with the lists, I find I write lists and then ignore them....oops

Err...um?? Do you mean the Equality Act? I guess if I need it at some time it would be useful................but TBH if I get to that point it is time to take the pension;)
Afternoon tea with friends at a local food/produce centre - time to catch with some people in my life who, second to immediate family, mean a lot to me:)
Still working on list.............:rotfl:Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

I love the idea of the coloured squares, I think visual stuff like that can be really motivating!
I too feel slightly in New Years Resolution mode, probably due to the children going back to school soon and a fresh chapter beginning! Can't beat a good list!

Hi PP:wave:
Lovely afternoon about with friends.............we all seem to be a some sort of cross roads in our lives. Nothing earth shattering but we all seem to have something to think about at the moment.........very odd, but we discovered there is a comfort in a cake and a natter with old friends:D
My PAD today meant I could colour in another 0.25% square:j Much more motivating than waiting for a whole 1%:D
Think I have to make clear I am not 'unwell' or at least I refuse to be unwell. I now have a rest of life condition which may get worse but will certainly get no better. It can be treated and will be monitored and there will be times when I will feel the effects but as such I am not 'ill'. Once the implications had sunk in I realised it will not effect what I do except I will now begin to plan a little more carefully and be focussed a bit more on the future. But thanks to those who have posted good wishes and concerns - appreciated:DBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
