Work all done - smug me:) well something not quite finished but what still needs finishing I had planned for Sunday but as I am ahead of myself on the work front I am allowing myself to be smug.

Things come along in 3's dont they..................? Hope so becasue we have had 3 dollops of bad luck/ misfortune call it what you will. Fridge freezer belly up. Then just sorted that out ( new one arriving tomorrow) get in car to do rare run to The Big Town and clutch has had it - left car with OH to fix using yellow 4th emergency home start service! Then when I get home from a very spendy ( all unavoidable) trip to The Big Town I reverse in to the drive as I have done 100's of times in the last 20 odd years and smack my OH's car into the gate post:(

I have most of my debt on 1 CC now - part LOB and part 0% but they keep c*cking up the interest rates and for the last 3 months I have had to keep reminding them and they keep apologising and refunding the interest charged but to be perfectly honest I am getting a bid :mad: now
Had a long discuss with OH this morning about state of finances after was has been an eye watering spendy weekend - I have managed to keep my OD either to nil or just a little into the red for 10 months now - I moved the OD to a 0% card in June last year with the intention of hammering it down and then paying the balance using my permanent OD facility ( currently £3K should I need it:eek:) however just before I am about to repay the CC the OD has been sitting on I find my current account in red by silly amount that is almost making the whole exercise pointless - I could really scream/cry/kick something. Nearly all of this is because last few months we have had some horrendous garage bills and neither of us can do without a reasonable car so we have had to stump
up:(.
Anyhoooow............discussion has been mainly on finances over next few years - mortgage ends in about 12 months( repayment) Endowment pays out early next year - dont need to use this to pay off mortgage - so what to do? Well pay off debts or put money to new cars or half and half or????............hmmmmm to be continued.

New fridge/freezer arrived Very space ship like with blue lights beeps and LED interior lights - these appliances have come on in the last few years. This one is A rated and will at least cheaper to run than the old one. I kept some of the shelves and drawers from dead one ( delivery people took it away so saved 17.50 council would charge)Dont now why but thought they may be useful if they prove not to be than I will fr**cycle them. Its amazing how our old appliance looked really tatty and grubby compared to the new one. Even though its been kept clean and I even gave it a wipe over before it was carted off! I lost and hour today whilst waiting for DD2 at swim training happily watching the aerial acrobatic antics of the colony of swallows and swifts that inhabit the low eaves of the swimming pool building - absolutely fascinating. A relentless display of swooping, swerving and diving and repeated returns to their nests - absolutely no let up in their quest to feed, care for and nurture their tiny families................ Couldn't help thinking that some of the parents of the frogs I work with could learn a lesson here: the total dedication and self sacrifice energy, commitment and sheer bl00dy hard work it takes to give your off spring the best start in life.
